Impedance matrix of a folded dipole pair under eleven configuration
A new decade wideband antenna, the Eleven antenna, has been developed during the last years. The basic configuration of Eleven antenna is two parallel dipoles separated by half wavelength above the ground plane, which is referred to as the eleven configuration. In order to cascade the dipoles in log-periodic array for obtaining wideband performance, folded dipoles are often used. The input impedance of shorted folded dipole in free space has been analysed by using two-mode method: a transmission line mode and an antenna mode. In the present study, the impedance matrix of a pair of folded dipoles as a two-port network under the eleven configuration will be analysed by including the mutual coupling among elements of folded dipoles into the two-mode method. As veri. cation, an Eleven antenna with one pair of folded dipoles has been analysed by the present method, modelled in a commercial software - CST MS and manufactured. The results by using the present method agree well with the measured and simulated one
Comparative Research on Influencing Factors of LSTM Deep Neural Network in Stock Market Time Series Prediction
During training process of LSTM, the prediction accuracy is affected by a variation of factors, including the selection of training samples, the network structure, the optimization algorithm, and the stock market status. This paper tries to conduct a systematic research on several influencing factors of LSTM training in context of time series prediction. The experiment uses Shanghai and Shenzhen 300 constituent stocks from 2006 to 2017 as samples. The influencing factors of the study include indicator sampling, sample length, network structure, optimization method, and data of the bull and bear market, and this experiment compared the effects of PCA, dropout, and L2 regularization on predict accuracy and efficiency. Indice sampling, number of samples, network structure, optimization techniques, and PCA are found to be have their scope of application. Further, dropout and L2 regularization are found positive to improve the accuracy. The experiments cover most of the factors, however have to be compared by data overseas. This paper is of significance for feature and parameter selection in LSTM training process
Polymeric implant of methylprednisolone for spinal injury: preparation and characterization
Purpose: To improve the effectiveness and reduce the systemic side effects of methylprednisolone in traumatic spinal injuries, its polymeric implants were prepared using chitosan and sodium alginate as the biocompatible polymers. Methods: Implants of methylprednisolone sodium succinate (MPSS) were prepared by molding the drug-loaded polymeric mass obtained after ionotropic gelation method. The prepared implants were evaluated for drug loading, in vitro drug release and in vivo performance in traumatic spinal-injury rat model with paraplegia. Results: All the implant formulations were light pale solid matrix with smooth texture. Implants showed 86.56 ± 2.07 % drug loading. Drug release was 89.29 ± 1.25 % at the end of 7 days. Motor function was evaluated in traumatic spinal injury-induced rats in terms of its movement on the horizontal bar. At theend of 7 days, the test group showed the activity score (4.75 ± 0.02) slightly higher than that of standard (4.62 ± 0.25), but the difference was not statistically different (p > 0.05).Conclusion: MPSS-loaded implants produces good recovery in traumatic spinal injury rats. Keywords: Spinal injury, Spinal column, Methylprednisolone, Implant, Activity score, Motor functio
Online diagnostic ultra-wideband antenna system in high voltage polymeric insulator
A novel ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna system is proposed for fault inspection and online diagnoses on high voltage polymeric insulators. This technique makes use of the multimode transferring theory on dielectric waveguides, where the transmission signal level difference can be employed to detect internal defects in the core rod. An investigation by simulation is performed with regard to the interfacial mm-ordered cracks in transverse and longitudinal orientations, and roughly 30~50 dB and 20~40 dB differences have been observed over the same band 3~10 GHz, respectively
