Laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) is a highly accepted treatment at this stage, with the increasing incidence of biliary tract disease and the development of endoscopic technique in recent years However, some patients after cholecystectomy still have symptoms similar to preoperative symptoms, such as abdominal pain, diarrhea, indigestion and so on. This series of syndromes has become a common clinical problem at present. This article reviews the research progress of etiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis and treatment of post-cholecystectomy syndrome by reading related literatures

The efficacy of the Hiline gas permeable contact lens for the management of Keratoconus

    Get PDF
Purpose: To investigate the efļ¬cacy of the HilineĀ® gas permeable contact lens (HilineĀ® GP) for keratoconus in clinical practice in correcting visual acuity. Methods: 218 eyes of 126 patients with keratoconus were ļ¬tted with HilineĀ® lenses. The ļ¬t of the lenses was evaluated. Visual acuity measurements were taken with spectacle lenses and with the Hiline lenses. The period of follow-up to observe for complications ranged from 3 to 27 months. Results: In all eyes, the HilineĀ® GP provided acceptable vision. There was a statistically signiļ¬cant improvement in vision with the HilineĀ® GP compared with spectacle lenses (t=10.90, p<0.0001). Initial evaluation showed that 169 lenses (77.52%) demonstrated a three-pointtouch relationship with the cornea 38 lenses (17.43%) had an apical clearance relationship with the cornea and 11 lenses (5.05%) had an apical bearing relationship. No severe complications were observed. Conclusions: Using corneal topography as a guide, a high success rate was achieved with the HilineĀ® GP design. It is easy to reach the ideal ļ¬t and to improve the visual acuity. These indicate the usefulness of HilineĀ® lens in clinical practice

An improved fault control strategy for virtual synchronous generator with the coordination of STATCOM during unbalanced fault

The virtual synchronous generator (VSG) is a good solution for stabilizing the power system with high penetration of renewable energy. However, in case of serious unbalanced voltage disturbance/fault, the conventional VSG may lose voltage, inertia, and damping support characteristics to the grid and even can cause disconnection of renewable energy. This paper proposes an improved fault control strategy for VSG with the coordination of STATCOM. The proposed method can provide sufficient voltage support while keeping continuous system inertia and damping support under severe unbalanced fault. In the paper, an improved VSG and STATCOM control topology based on positive and negative sequence current control are first proposed so as to keep the damping and inertia support to grid during the grid fault. Secondly, the voltage support control method for the VSG with improved topology during unbalanced fault is introduced, which can achieve multiple control objectives, in terms of voltage support, current limitation, and active power output simultaneously. Then a coordination control scheme of improved VSG and STATCOM is developed so as to optimize the maximum control objectives in all possible scenarios, especially in the case of severe unbalanced fault. Finally, the effectiveness of the method is verified by using the MATLAB/SIMULINK simulation platform

Biodegradable double-network GelMA-ACNM hydrogel microneedles for transdermal drug delivery

As a minimally invasive drug delivery platform, microneedles (MNs) overcome many drawbacks of the conventional transdermal drug delivery systems, therefore are favorable in biomedical applications. Microneedles with a combined burst and sustained release profile and maintained therapeutic molecular bioactivity could further broaden its applications as therapeutics. Here, we developed a double-network microneedles (DN MNs) based on gelatin methacrylate and acellular neural matrix (GelMA-ACNM). ACNM could function as an early drug release matrix, whereas the addition of GelMA facilitates sustained drug release. In particular, the double-network microneedles comprising GelMA-ACNM hydrogel has distinctive biological features in maintaining drug activity to meet the needs of application in treating different diseases. In this study, we prepared the double-network microneedles and evaluated its morphology, mechanical properties, drug release properties and biocompatibility, which shows great potential for delivery of therapeutic molecules that needs different release profiles in transdermal treatment
