Weighted Hamiltonian stationary Lagrangian submanifolds and generalized Lagrangian mean curvature flows in toric almost Calabi-Yau manifolds

In this paper we generalize examples of Hamiltonian stationary Lagrangian submanifolds constructed by Lee and Wang in Cm\mathbb{C}^m to toric almost Calabi-Yau manifolds. We construct examples of weighted Hamiltonian stationary Lagrangian submanifolds in toric almost Calabi-Yau manifolds and solutions of generalized Lagrangian mean curvature flows starting from these examples. We allow these flows to have some singularities and topological changes.Comment: 16 page

Statiscal Analysis on Stream Pollution : I. Factor Analysis on Stream Pollution of the Yodo River

In order to obtain the composite pollution index which may be available as the evaluation of the degree of gross stream pollution, factor analysis was carried out using monthly water examination data from 1923 to 1958 at Kunijima intake crib. Ten items i.e. turbibity, pottasium permanganate consumed, color, general bacteria count, residue by evaporation, total nitrogen, chlor ion concentration, hardness, stream flow rate and stream water temperature were adopted as variables in factor analysis. From the results of factor analysis, three definite factors i.e. pollution factor, rainfall factor and air temerature factor were identified, and correlations between these three factors and ten variables were elucidated. Computing the β weights for pollution factor, the composite pollution index was obtained

Proactive or Reactive? Platform Governance Strategy in C2C Marketplace

In this paper, we present a case study of two major consumer-to-consumer marketplaces that adopt different platform governance strategies and examine how the users of each marketplace trust other users and the marketplace platforms. Our study was conducted in two steps: qualitative and quantitative research. As a first step, we conducted interviews with the directors of the two platforms. As the second step, we conducted user survey to assess the user perception of platform governance strategies. The preliminary finding from our interview with the operators of two major C2C marketplaces shows that the both operators acknowledge an effective governance system as the key factor of success, but adopt different approaches to ensure effectiveness. Two different strategies for platform governance are adopted: proactive and reactive. The preliminary finding from our user survey indicates that users perceive a reactive strategy as more effective compared to a proactive strategy
