Link Prediction in Directed Network and Its Application in Microblog

    Get PDF
Link prediction tries to infer the likelihood of the existence of a link between two nodes in a network. It has important theoretical and practical value. To date, many link prediction algorithms have been proposed. However, most of these studies assumed that links of network are undirected. In this paper, we focus on link prediction in directed networks. We provide an efficient and effective link prediction method, which consists of three steps as follows: (1) we locate the similar nodes of a target node; (2) we identify candidates that the similar nodes link to; and (3) we rank candidates using weighing schemes. We conduct experiments to evaluate the accuracy of our proposed method using real microblog data. The experimental results show that the proposed method is promising

Structural Features and Digestibility of Corn Starch With Different Amylose Content

    Get PDF
In this study, the in vitro digestibility of corn starch with different amylose content was determined. The results showed that waxy corn starch (WCS) and corn starch (CS) have the highest digestibility, while high amylose corn starch (HACS) has a higher content of resistant starch (RS). Besides being related to amylose content, RS content is also closely related to particle shape, debranched fine structure, molecular structure, and semi-crystalline structure. HACS can maintain a complete particle structure after gelatinization and enzymolysis; differential scanning calorimetry showed a positive correlation between gelatinization enthalpy and RS content. As the amylose content increased, the content of fa (DP 6–12) decreased, while the content of fb2 (DP 25–36) and fb3 (DP ≥ 37) increased, which in-turn decreased the cluster polymer formed by short branch chains, and the formation of more hydrogen bonds between long chain branches improved starch stability. D, which characterizes the compactness of starch semi-crystalline structure, increased with the increase of RS content. HACS 60 with the highest RS content had a unique surface fractal structure between 7.41 < d (2π/q) < 10.58 nm, indicating that the dense structure is effective in maintaining the RS content

Generative Human Motion Stylization in Latent Space

Human motion stylization aims to revise the style of an input motion while keeping its content unaltered. Unlike existing works that operate directly in pose space, we leverage the latent space of pretrained autoencoders as a more expressive and robust representation for motion extraction and infusion. Building upon this, we present a novel generative model that produces diverse stylization results of a single motion (latent) code. During training, a motion code is decomposed into two coding components: a deterministic content code, and a probabilistic style code adhering to a prior distribution; then a generator massages the random combination of content and style codes to reconstruct the corresponding motion codes. Our approach is versatile, allowing the learning of probabilistic style space from either style labeled or unlabeled motions, providing notable flexibility in stylization as well. In inference, users can opt to stylize a motion using style cues from a reference motion or a label. Even in the absence of explicit style input, our model facilitates novel re-stylization by sampling from the unconditional style prior distribution. Experimental results show that our proposed stylization models, despite their lightweight design, outperform the state-of-the-art in style reenactment, content preservation, and generalization across various applications and settings. Metformin and Lactic Acidosis in Diabetic Patients

    Get PDF
Metformin is the basic drug in the clinical treatment of Diabetes, often used in the treatment of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM).Its effect has been fully verified in the clinical treatment of T2DM. However, in the treatment of T2DM with metformin, there is still a certain probability of related lactic acidosis, and the fatality rate is high. Therefore, is the use of metformin drug treatment a direct risk factor for lactic acidosis in diabetic patients? This paper will review the hypoglycemic mechanism of metformin and related studies on lactic acidosis, so as to further explore the relationship between metformin and lactic acidosis in diabetic patients, and provide help and reference for metformin drugs in the clinical treatment of T2DM

BackgroundCommunity-based elderly care may effectively contribute to the handling of serious elderly care challenges brought by an increasingly aging population in China.ObjectiveTo explore the factors associated with older adults' intention to choose community-based elderly care using the decision tree and Logistic regression models.MethodsThis questionnaire survey was conducted in three communities selected from Daqing by convenient sampling from August to December 2020. 500 eligible community-dwelling older adults (≥60 years old) were selected as the research objects. The decision tree and Logistic regression models were used to explore factors associated with these older adults' intention to choose community-based elderly care via analyzing their demographics, self-rated physical and mental health, and family and social support collected by the survey.ResultsAltogether, 489 cases (97.8%) who effectively responded to the survey were included for analysis. The prevalence of intending to choose community-based elderly care in the respondents was 32.5% (159/489) . Logistic regression analysis revealed that the older adults' understanding level of community-based elderly care, views of elderly care, sense of loneliness, and intergenerational relationship had varying degrees of influence on their intention to choose community-based elderly care (P<0.05) . The decision tree analysis found that the older adults' understanding level of community-based elderly care, views of elderly care, sense of loneliness, social network, self-rated health, education level, and living status (alone or not) were key factors influencing their intention to choose community-based elderly care (P<0.05) . By both Logistic regression and decision tree analyses, understanding level of community-based elderly care, views of elderly care, and sense of loneliness were found to be three factors influencing older adults' intention to use community-based elderly care most. In exploring the factors associated with older adults' intention to choose community-based elderly care, Logistic regression analysis had an AUC of 0.985 (0.974, 0.996) with 94.34% sensitivity and 95.75% specificity, and decision tree analysis had an AUC of 0.980 (0.968, 0.992) with 88.05% sensitivity and 97.87% specificity, the performance of the two was similar (Z=-0.625, P=0.268) .ConclusionThe combination of decision tree and Logistic regression model has high application value in the study of influencing factors of community pension willingness of the elderly. The prevalence of intending to use community-based elderly care was relatively low in Daqing older adults. To improve this, it is suggested to take actions to change older adults' traditional views of elderly care, to better their physical and mental health and family relationships

Objective To study the effect of metformin on lactate metabolism in hepatocytes in vitro under high glucose stress. In vitro LO2 cells, liver cells were randomly divided into blank control group, 25 tendency/L glucose solution, 27 tendency/L glucose solution,29 tendency/L glucose solution, 31 tendency/L glucose solution, 33 tendency/L glucose solution,35 tendency/L glucose solution treatment group, the optimal concentration of 31 tendency after L, use 30 tendency for L metformin solution, and then divided into blank control group, the optimal concentration of glucose solution, normal liver cells + metformin solution normal liver cells. The optimal concentration of glucose solution normal liver cells + metformin solution respectively in the 12 h, 24 h,48 h on cell count plate to calculate the number of liver cells, and using lactic acid determination kit the optimal concentration of glucose solution + normal liver cells and normal liver cells + the optimal concentration of glucose solution + metformin solution respectively in the 12 h, 24 h, 48 h of cell cultures of lactic acid value. There was no significant change in the lactic acid concentration but significant increase in the number of surviving hepatocytes in the highglycemic control group compared with that in the high-glycemic control group without metformin. Metformin has no significant effect on lactic acid metabolism of hepatocytes under high glucose stress in vitro, and has a protective effect on hepatocytes under high glucose stress. Based on this,it is preliminarily believed that metformin is not the direct factor leading to diabetic lactic acidosis
