Does Education and Interrupted Work Experience Help To Explain Why Childhood Health Is Related To Later Life Quality: Evidence from CHARLS
China is experiencing rapid population aging. How to make sure prolonged longevity is accompanied by good quality of life needs to be investigated
Women Consciousness Exploration in Jane Austen and Her Works
Jane Austen is one of the greatest realistic novelists in the English literaturein19th century. Austen is contrary to consciousness of man centrism and traditional values of masculine writers before her time. All her 6 novels concerns with love and marriage, they truthfully reflect women life of her age, reveals her feminine consciousness and profound implication
Tight Error Bounds for Nonnegative Orthogonality Constraints and Exact Penalties
For the intersection of the Stiefel manifold and the set of nonnegative
matrices in , we present global and local error bounds
with easily computable residual functions and explicit coefficients. Moreover,
we show that the error bounds cannot be improved except for the coefficients,
which explains why two square-root terms are necessary in the bounds when for the nonnegativity and orthogonality, respectively. The error bounds
are applied to penalty methods for minimizing a Lipschitz continuous function
with nonnegative orthogonality constraints. Under only the Lipschitz continuity
of the objective function, we prove the exactness of penalty problems that
penalize the nonnegativity constraint, or the orthogonality constraint, or both
constraints. Our results cover both global and local minimizers
Toward Deep Learning-Based Human Target Analysis
In this chapter, we describe methods toward deep learning-based human target analysis. Firstly, human target analysis in 2D and 3D domains of radar signal is introduced. Furthermore, range-Doppler surface for human target analysis using ultra-wideband radar is described. The construction of range-Doppler surface involves range-Doppler imaging, adaptive threshold detection, and isosurface extraction. In comparison with micro-Doppler profiles and high-resolution range profiles, range-Doppler surface contains range, Doppler, and time information simultaneously. An ellipsoid-based human motion model is designed for validation. Range-Doppler surfaces simulated for different human activities are demonstrated and discussed. With the rapid emergence of deep learning, the development of radar target recognition has been accelerated. We describe several deep learning algorithms for human target analysis. Finally, a few future research considerations are listed to spark inspiration
Quantization of the minimal nilpotent orbits and the quantum Hikita conjecture
We show that the specialized quantum D-module of the equivariant quantum
cohomology ring of the minimal resolution of an ADE singularity is isomorphic
to the D-module of graded traces on the minimal nilpotent orbit in the Lie
algebra of the same type. This generalizes a recent result of Shlykov [Hikita
conjecture for the minimal nilpotent orbit, to appear in Proc. AMS,
https://doi.org/10.1090/proc/15281] and hence verifies in this case the quantum
version of Hikita's conjecture, proposed by Kamnitzer, McBreen and Proudfoot
[The quantum Hikita conjecture, Advances in Mathematics 390 (2021) 107947]. We
also show analogous isomorphisms for singularities of BCFG type
User Interest Modeling and Self-Adaptive Update Using Relevance Feedback Technology
AbstractUser interest modeling is the core component of personalized service system. To improve the accuracy of the resulting model, this paper presents a method for modeling user's interest by collecting information of interactive behaviors and combining with implicit feedback techniques. This method also applies explicit feedback and Timeattenuation to self-adaptively update the interest model. It improves the accuracy of the model and will be pretty useful for personalized searching and filtering systems
