Complete NLO Operators in the Higgs Effective Field Theory

We enumerate the complete and independent sets of operators at the next-to-leading order (NLO) in the Higgs effective field theory (HEFT), based on the Young tensor technique on the Lorentz, gauge and flavor structures. The operator-amplitude correspondence tells a type of operators forms the on-shell amplitude basis, and for operators involving in Nambu-Goldstone bosons, the amplitude basis is further reduced to the subspace satisfying the Adler's zero condition in the soft momentum limit. Different from dynamical field, the spurion should not enter into the Lorentz sector, instead it only plays a role of forming the SU(2)SU(2) invariant together with other dynamical fields. With these new treatments, for the first time we could obtain the 237 (8595) operators for one (three) generation fermions, 295 (11307) with right-handed neutrinos, and find there were 6 (9) terms of operators missing and many redundant operators can be removed in the effective theory without (with) right-handed neutrinos.Comment: 63 pages, 2 tables, revised version: operators in 4-component notation, correct typo for countin

Terrace-like structure in the above-threshold ionization spectrum of an atom in an IR+XUV two-color laser field

Based on the frequency-domain theory, we investigate the above-threshold ionization (ATI) process of an atom in a two-color laser field with infrared (IR) and extreme ultraviolet (XUV) frequencies, where the photon energy of the XUV laser is close to or larger than the atomic ionization threshold. By using the channel analysis, we find that the two laser fields play different roles in an ionization process, where the XUV laser determines the ionization probability by the photon number that the atom absorbs from it, while the IR laser accelerates the ionized electron and hence widens the electron kinetic energy spectrum. As a result, the ATI spectrum presents a terrace-like structure. By using the saddle-point approximation, we obtain a classical formula which can predict the cutoff of each plateau in the terrace-like ATI spectrum. Furthermore, we find that the difference of the heights between two neighboring plateaus in the terrace-like structure of the ATI spectrum increases as the frequency of the XUV laser increases

SAPI: Surroundings-Aware Vehicle Trajectory Prediction at Intersections

In this work we propose a deep learning model, i.e., SAPI, to predict vehicle trajectories at intersections. SAPI uses an abstract way to represent and encode surrounding environment by utilizing information from real-time map, right-of-way, and surrounding traffic. The proposed model consists of two convolutional network (CNN) and recurrent neural network (RNN)-based encoders and one decoder. A refiner is proposed to conduct a look-back operation inside the model, in order to make full use of raw history trajectory information. We evaluate SAPI on a proprietary dataset collected in real-world intersections through autonomous vehicles. It is demonstrated that SAPI shows promising performance when predicting vehicle trajectories at intersection, and outperforms benchmark methods. The average displacement error(ADE) and final displacement error(FDE) for 6-second prediction are 1.84m and 4.32m respectively. We also show that the proposed model can accurately predict vehicle trajectories in different scenarios
