Satellite Broadcasting Enabled Blockchain Protocol: A Preliminary Study

Low throughput has been the biggest obstacle of large-scale blockchain applications. During the past few years, researchers have proposed various schemes to improve the systems' throughput. However, due to the inherent inefficiency and defects of the Internet, especially in data broadcasting tasks, these efforts all rendered unsatisfactory. In this paper, we propose a novel blockchain protocol which utilizes the satellite broadcasting network instead of the traditional Internet for data broadcasting and consensus tasks. An automatic resumption mechanism is also proposed to solve the unique communication problems of satellite broadcasting. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has a lower communication cost and can greatly improve the throughput of the blockchain system. Theoretical estimation of a satellite broadcasting enabled blockchain system's throughput is 6,000,000 TPS with a 20 gbps satellite bandwidth.Comment: Accepted by 2020 Information Communication Technologies Conference (ICTC 2020

The Laplacian Eigenvalues and Invariants of Graphs

In this paper, we investigate some relations between the invariants (including vertex and edge connectivity and forwarding indices) of a graph and its Laplacian eigenvalues. In addition, we present a sufficient condition for the existence of Hamiltonicity in a graph involving its Laplacian eigenvalues.Comment: 10 pages,Filomat, 201

This can further improve life quality by providing continuous observation without the need of disrupting the patient's normal life, thus reducing the risk of infection significantly, and decreasing the cost of the hospital and the patient. This paper discusses the implementation issues, and describes the overall system architecture of our developed Bluetooth sensor network for patient monitoring and the corresponding heart activity sensors. It also presents our approach to developing the intelligent physiological sensor nodes involving integration of Bluetooth radio technology, hardware and software organization, and our solutions for onboard signal processing.Peer reviewe

A Purchase Protocol with Multichannel Authentication

While online shopping are becoming more accepted by people in modern life, cardholders are more concerned about card fraud and the lack of cardholder authentication in the current online credit card payment. This paper proposes a purchase protocol with live cardholder authentication for online transaction which combines telephone banking and online banking together. The order information and payment information are sent though the Internet and encrypted by asymmetric key encryption. The cardholder is authenticated by the card issuing bank ringing back at the customer’s phone number and the cardholder inputting the secure PIN and the amount to pay. The multichannel authentication makes the cardholder feel secure and card fraud difficult. Furthermore, the protocol does not require the cardholder to obtain public key certificates or install additional software for the online transactionPeer reviewe
