With the progress of social civilization, the Westernization of lifestyle and the aging of population, the incidence of diabetes is increasing. Therefore, the prevention and treatment of diabetes is essential. China’s recently proposed management of chronic diseases, the gateway to move forward, prevention of subsidence, the tertiary prevention of diabetes has also attracted increasing attention. For patients with type 2 diabetes, the tertiary prevention objectives are made according to the natural course of development: primary prevention is to reduce the incidence of the control of risk factors, the incidence of type 2 diabetes, suspension. Second grade prevention is progress by improving insulin resistance and preventing the damage of patients with pancreatic beta cells, and the incidence of various complications of diabetes. Third prevention is the protection of patients remaining islet beta cells, strengthen blood glucose control and control complications, reduce overall mortality. This article summarizes the clinical research evidence of the tertiary prevention of type 2 diabetes from the perspective of evidence-based medicine, combined with the experience of our own medical team. It provides the theoretical basis for the rationality and feasibility of diabetes prevention and management, and puts forward the prospect of the tertiary prevention of diabetes

Background: Among the Chinese population of 1.3 billion, there are an estimated 93 million carriers of hepatitis B virus (HBV). Men who have sex with men (MSM) are at increased risk for HBV infection; however, the prevalence of HBV immunization and infection among Chinese MSM remains undetermined. Methods: A cross-sectional survey of 1,114 eligible participants was conducted in Beijing, China. Multiple methods were used to recruit study participants. Demographic information and potential correlated factors were collected by questionnaire. Additionally, blood specimens were collected and tested for sexually transmitted infections and serologic markers of hepatitis B immunization and infection. Results: Laboratory data were available for 1,111 participants (99.7%), the prevalence of hepatitis B immunization was 38.9%, and 26.5% had serologic markers of HBV infection. Multivariate analyses indicated that higher education level, smaller number of male sex partners in the past 12 months, reported diagnosis of sexually transmitted disease (STD), and history of blood donation were independently associated with HBV immunization. Absence of steady male sex partner(s) in the past 12 months, and reported diagnosis of STD were shown to be independently associated with HBV infection. MSM positive for HBV infection were more likely to have past or current syphilis infection. Conclusions: Low prevalence of HBV immunization and high prevalence of HBV infection among Chinese MSM and a correlation between sexual risk factors and hepatitis B infection indicate that comprehensive preventative measures for HBV among MSM, including blood donor and HIV-STD clinic vaccination programs as well as targeted health education campaigns should be developed in China

Linear scaling of lepton charge asymmetry in W±W^\pm production in ultra-relativistic nuclear collisions

The lepton charge asymmetry in W±W^\pm production in the nuclear collisions at sNN=5.02\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=5.02 TeV is investigated with a parton and hadron cascade model PACIAE. Recently published ALICE and the ATLAS data of lepton charge asymmetry are well reproduced. An interesting linear scaling behavior is observed in the lepton charge asymmetry as a function of the collision system valence quark number asymmetry among the different size of nuclear collision systems at sNN=5.02\sqrt{s_{\rm NN}}=5.02 TeV. This linear scaling behavior may serve as an additional constraint on the PDF (nPDF) extractions.Comment: 6 pages, 4 figures. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:2201.0952

Application of Local Wave Decomposition in Seismic Signal Processing

    Get PDF
Local wave decomposition (LWD) method plays an important role in seismic signal processing for its superiority in significantly revealing the frequency content of a seismic signal changes with time variation. The LWD method is an effective way to decompose a seismic signal into several individual components. Each component represents a harmonic signal localized in time, with slowly varying amplitudes and frequencies, potentially highlighting different geologic and stratigraphic information. Empirical mode decomposition (EMD), the synchrosqueezing transform (SST), and variational mode decomposition (VMD) are three typical LWD methods. We mainly study the application of the LWD method especially EMD, SST, and VMD in seismic signal processing including seismic signal de‐noising, edge detection of seismic images, and recovery of the target reflection near coal seams

The Role of Macrolide Antibiotics in Increasing Cardiovascular Risk

AbstractBackgroundLarge cohort studies provide conflicting evidence regarding the potential for oral macrolide antibiotics to increase the risk of serious cardiac events.ObjectivesThis study performed a meta-analysis to examine the link between macrolides and risk of sudden cardiac death (SCD) or ventricular tachyarrhythmias (VTA), cardiovascular death, and death from any cause.MethodsWe performed a search of published reports by using MEDLINE (January 1, 1966, to April 30, 2015) and EMBASE (January 1, 1980, to April 30, 2015) with no restrictions. Studies that reported relative risk (RR) estimates with 95% confidence intervals (CIs) for the associations of interest were included.ResultsThirty-three studies involving 20,779,963 participants were identified. Patients taking macrolides, compared with those who took no macrolides, experienced an increased risk of developing SCD or VTA (RR: 2.42; 95% CI: 1.61 to 3.63), SCD (RR: 2.52; 95% CI: 1.91 to 3.31), and cardiovascular death (RR: 1.31; 95% CI: 1.06 to 1.62). No association was found between macrolides use and all-cause death or any cardiovascular events. The RRs associated with SCD or VTA were 3.40 for azithromycin, 2.16 for clarithromycin, and 3.61 for erythromycin, respectively. RRs for cardiovascular death were 1.54 for azithromycin and 1.48 for clarithromycin. No association was noted between roxithromycin and adverse cardiac outcomes. Treatment with macrolides is associated with an absolute risk increase of 118.1 additional SCDs or VTA, and 38.2 additional cardiovascular deaths per 1 million treatment courses.ConclusionsAdministration of macrolide antibiotics is associated with increased risk for SCD or VTA and cardiovascular death but not increased all-cause mortality

The title compound, [ZnCl2(C12H8N4S)]n, was obtained by crystallization of 2,5-di-4-pyridyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole with ZnCl2 in an MeOH/CHCl3 solvent system. The structure contains infinite chains of ZnCl2 units connected by the bifunctional thiadiazole ligands, with ZnII adopting a distorted tetrahedral coordination geometry. The dihedral angle between the two pyridyl rings in each ligand is 34.3 (1)°, and the dihedral angles between the thiadiazole ring and the two pyridyl rings are 18.3 (2) and 16.1 (2)°. The shortest Zn⋯Zn distance within each polymeric chain is 11.862 (3) Å, while the shortest interchain Zn⋯Zn distance is 7.057 (3) Å

Charged particle elliptic flow in p+p collisions at LHC energies in a transport model PACIAE

The parton and hadron cascade model PACIAE based on PYTHIA was used to investigate the charged particle elliptic flow in minimum bias pp collisions at the LHC energies. The strings were distributed randomly in the transverse ellipsoid of the pp collision system with major axis of RR (proton radius) and minor axis of R(1ξ)R(1-\xi) before parton rescattering. The charged particle elliptic flow as a function of the random number ξ\xi and transverse momentum pTp_T were investigated. The calculated v2/ϵv_2/\epsilon as a function of reaction energy increases monotonously with increasing reaction energy up to s\sqrt{s}\sim7 TeV and then turns to saturation. With the parton-parton cross section enlarges three times in parton rescattering, the rapidity integrated charged particle elliptic flow may reach 0.025 at pTp_T \sim2 GeV/c in the minimum bias pp collisions at s\sqrt{s}=7 TeV.Comment: 7 pages, 4 figure
