    In the title compound, [Cd(NO3)2(C12H12N6)2]n, the CdII cation is located on an inversion center and is six-coordinated by four N atoms from four 1,3-bis­[(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)meth­yl]benzene (L) ligands and two O atoms from two nitrate anions in a slightly distorted octa­hedral geometry. The ligands link different CdII ions into a ribbon-like structure along [001]. Two O atoms of the nitrate anion are disordered over two sets of sites with site occupancies of 0.575 (8) and 0.425 (8)

    AbstractObjectiveTo explore the vision related health quality-of-life before and after the injection of antiangiogenic drug in vitreous cavity to patients with wet-AMD.MethodsThe 2000 edition of Visual Functioning Questionnaire-25 issued by National Eye Institute is applied, and the VRQL evaluation is conducted on the initial diagnosed patients with wet-AMD before and after the injection of ranibizumab drugs in vitreous cavity.ResultsAmong the wet-AMD patients, patients with better distance visual acuity before the intravitreal injection get lower VFQ-25 score; while after the vitreous cavity injection, the VFQ-25 questionnaire score is related to the explanation and nursing of doctors and nurses towards patients, the better the nursing, the higher the score.ConclusionBefore vitreous cavity injection, the degree of distance visual acuity is an important factor affecting VRQL of wet-AMD patients, in addition, the explanation and nursing of doctors and nurses toward patients during pre-operation, intra-operation and post-operation of intravitreal injection are also the import factors affecting VROL

    A SIMPLE METHOD FOR MONITORING SPRINGBOARD REACTION FORCE IN GYMNASTIC VAULTING

    This work was to found a new method for measuring the reaction force of springboard (BRF), which provides scientific supports to the diagnosis of take-off technique. The elastic moduli of GYMNOVA soft and hard springboards were derived by method of mechanics of material, then the springboards were tested in static, dynamic experiments and computer simulations. An equation with different coefficients for soft and hard spring boards, which describe force-displacement of the springboard, F=kx+cx was obtained and validated. This equation can be used with convenience by employing a high speed camera shooting to the springboard for rapidly monitoring the take-off BRF, and provide scientific supports in the enhancement of vaulting techniques, and in injury preventions as well

    Temporal knowledge discovery in big BAS data for building energy management

    With the advances of information technologies, today's building automation systems (BASs) are capable of managing building operational performance in an efficient and convenient way. Meanwhile, the amount of real-time monitoring and control data in BASs grows continually in the building lifecycle, which stimulates an intense demand for powerful big data analysis tools in BASs. Existing big data analytics adopted in the building automation industry focus on mining cross-sectional relationships, whereas the temporal relationships, i.e., the relationships over time, are usually overlooked. However, building operations are typically dynamic and BAS data are essentially multivariate time series data. This paper presents a time series data mining methodology for temporal knowledge discovery in big BAS data. A number of time series data mining techniques are explored and carefully assembled, including the Symbolic Aggregate approXimation (SAX), motif discovery, and temporal association rule mining. This study also develops two methods for the efficient post-processing of knowledge discovered. The methodology has been applied to analyze the BAS data retrieved from a real building. The temporal knowledge discovered is valuable to identify dynamics, patterns and anomalies in building operations, derive temporal association rules within and between subsystems, assess building system performance and spot opportunities in energy conservation.Department of Building Services EngineeringDepartment of Computin
