A contrast-sensitive reversible visible image watermarking technique
A reversible (also called lossless, distortion-free, or
invertible) visible watermarking scheme is proposed to satisfy the applications, in which the visible watermark is expected to combat copyright piracy but can be removed to losslessly recover the original image. We transparently reveal the watermark image by overlapping it on a user-specified region of the host image through adaptively adjusting the pixel values beneath the watermark, depending on the human visual system-based scaling factors. In order to achieve reversibility, a reconstruction/ recovery packet, which is utilized to restore the watermarked area, is reversibly inserted into non-visibly-watermarked region. The packet is established according to the difference image between the original image and its approximate version instead of its visibly watermarked version so as to alleviate its overhead. For the generation of the approximation, we develop a simple prediction technique that makes use of the unaltered neighboring pixels as auxiliary information. The recovery packet is uniquely encoded before hiding so that the original watermark pattern can be reconstructed based on the encoded packet. In this way, the image recovery process is carried out without needing the availability of the watermark. In addition, our method adopts data compression for further reduction in the recovery packet size and improvement in embedding capacity. The experimental results demonstrate the superiority of the proposed scheme compared to the existing methods
The Nonlinear Permittivity Including Non-Abelian Self-interaction of Plasmons in Quark-Gluon Plasma
By decomposing the distribution functions and color field to regular and
fluctuation parts, the solution of the semi-classical kinetic equations of
quark-gluon plasma is analyzed. Through expanding the kinetic equations of the
fluctuation parts to third order, the nonlinear permittivity including the
self-interaction of gauge field is obtained and a rough numerical estimate is

Developments of a 2D Position Sensitive Neutron Detector
Chinese Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS), one project of the 12th
five-year-plan scheme of China, is under construction in Guangdong province.
Three neutron spectrometers will be installed at the first phase of the
project, where two-dimensional position sensitive thermal neutron detectors are
required. Before the construction of the neutron detector, a prototype of
two-dimensional 200 mmx200 mm Multi-wire Proportional Chamber (MWPC) with the
flowing gas of Ar/CO2 (90/10) has been constructed and tested with the 55Fe
X-Ray using part of the electronics in 2009, which showed a good performance.
Following the test in 2009, the neutron detector has been constructed with the
complete electronics and filled with the 6atm.3He + 2.5atm.C3H8 gas mixture in
2010. The neutron detector has been primarily tested with an Am/Be source. In
this paper, some new developments of the neutron detector including the design
of the high pressure chamber, the optimization of the gas purifying system and
the gas filling process will be reported. The results and discussion are also

Maternal expectations of fetal gender and risk of postpartum depression
Background: Female offspring was associated with a high risk of postpartum depression (PPD) during the one-child policy period in China. However, little is known about the association between maternal expectations on fetal gender and the risk of PPD in the context of the new two children policy implemented in 2016.
Methods: We conducted a hospital-based cohort study of women with singleton pregnancies between 2017 and 2018 (n = 991) to address this concern. Logistic regression was run to estimate the association between unexpected fetal gender and the risk of PPD.
Results: A total of 127 women (12.8%) were diagnosed with PPD. Compared with women who achieved fetal gender expectations, the odds ratio (OR) for PPD among those who had an unexpected fetal gender was 2.44 (95% confidence interval (CI): 1.30–4.58) (in the backward method logistic regression model) and 2.25 (95% CI: 1.21–4.18) (in the forward method model), respectively. The disparity of the association was significant among primiparous and pluriparous women (OR, 2.52, 95% CI: 1.32–4.84, P = 0.005 vs. OR, 0.91, 95% CI: 0.09–8.75, P = 0.932). Fetal gender expectations accounted for about 15% of the risk of PPD in the structural equation models.
Conclusions: These results indicated that unexpected fetal gender was associated with an increased risk of PPD among Chinese primiparous women
Non-Abelian Collective Excitations in Unlinearized Quark-Gluon Plasma Media
We study the effect of unlinearized medium on the collective excitations in
quark-gluon plasma. We present two kinds of non-Abelian oscillation solutions
which respectively correspond to weakly and strongly nonlinear coupling of
field components in color space. We also show that the weakly nonlinear
solution is similar to Abelian-like one but has the frequency shift, which is

Prevalence of the Cryptosporidium Pig Genotype II in Pigs from the Yangtze River Delta, China
Background: Cryptosporidium spp. is prevalent globally, pigs are an important Cryptosporidium reservoir. In China, little data regarding rates of Cryptosporidium infections in pigs are available. The present study was therefore aimed at characterizing the distribution of Cryptosporidium species in pigs from two different cities, Shaoxing and Shanghai, from the Yangtze River delta. Methodology/Principal Findings: Nested PCR to amplify the 18S rRNA locus on DNA extracted from fecal samples (n = 94) revealed the positive rate of Cryptosporidium in pigs from two cities was approximately 17.0%. The positive rates in Shanghai and Shaoxing were 14.3 % and 25.0 % respectively. Amplified sequences were verified by sequencing. The identified strain belonged to the C. pig genotype II using BLAST analysis in the NCBI database. Conclusion/Significance: Our finding of Cryptosporidium pig genotype II in pigs in the Yangtze River delta area suggests that pig farms in this region must be considered a public health threat and proper control measures be introduced
Dielectric nonlinearity of relaxor ferroelectric ceramics at low ac drives
Dielectric nonlinear response of
(PbMgNbO)(PbTiO) (0.9PMN-0.1PT) relaxor
ceramics was investigated under different ac drive voltages. It was observed
that: (i) the dielectric permittivity is independent on ac field amplitude at
high temperatures; (ii) with increasing ac drive, the permittivity maximum
increases, and the temperature of the maximum shifts to lower temperature;
(iii) the nonlinear effect is weakened when the measurement frequency
increases. The influences of increasing ac drive were found to be similar to
that of decreasing frequency. It is believed that the dielectric nonlinearities
of relaxors at low drives can be explained by the phase transition theory of
ergodic space shrinking in succession. A Monte Carlo simulation was performed
on the flips of micro polarizations at low ac drives to verify the theory.Comment: Submitted to J. Phys.: Cond. Matte
CVM studies on the atomic ordering in complex perovskite alloys
The atomic ordering in complex perovskite alloys is investigated by the
cluster variation method (CVM). For the 1/3\{111\}-type ordered structure, the
order-disorder phase transition is the first order, and the order parameter of
the 1:2 complex perovskite reaches its maximum near x=0.25. For the
1/2\{111\}-type ordered structure, the ordering transition is the second order.
Phase diagrams for both ordered structures are obtained. The order-disorder

Anomaly analysis of Hawking radiation from Kaluza-Klein black hole with squashed horizon
Considering gravitational and gauge anomalies at the horizon, a new method
that to derive Hawking radiations from black holes has been developed by
Wilczek et al. In this paper, we apply this method to non-rotating and rotating
Kaluza-Klein black holes with squashed horizon, respectively. For the rotating
case, we found that, after the dimensional reduction, an effective U(1) gauge
field is generated by an angular isometry. The results show that the gauge
current and energy-momentum tensor fluxes are exactly equivalent to Hawking
