    Zigbee Wireless Sensor Network Nodes Deployment Strategy for Digital Agricultural Data Acquisition

    Abstract: ZigBee is an emerging wireless network technology, according to china's digital agricultural feature such as remote, dispersion, variability and diversity, the ZigBee-based wireless sensor network for digital agricultural data acquisition is one of the best ways to build the system. In this paper, based on ZigBee wireless sensor network deployment planning principles and the status of our digital agriculture, we study several ZigBee wireless sensor network nodes deployment program for different condition and calculated their largest network capacity, network latency and other parameters, finally proposed a wireless sensor network nodes deployment strategy for digital agricultural data acquisition. This strategy is no specific requirements to the wireless sensor network topology structure, and can support the ZigBee wireless sensor network by random and manual deployment

    An automated framework of inner segment/outer segment defect detection for retinal SD-OCT images

    The integrity of inner segment/outer segment (IS/OS) has high correlation with lower visual acuity in patients suffering from blunt trauma. An automated 3D IS/OS defect detection method based on the SD-OCT images was proposed. First, 11 surfaces were automatically segmented using the multiscale 3D graph-search approach. Second, the sub-volumes between surface 7 and 8 containing IS/OS region around the fovea (diameter of mm) were extracted and flattened based on the segmented retinal pigment epithelium layer. Third, 5 kinds of texture based features were extracted for each voxel. A KNN classifier was trained and each voxel was classified as disrupted or nondisrupted and the responding defect volume was calculated. The proposed method was trained and tested on 9 eyes from 9 trauma subjects using the leave-one-out cross validation method. The preliminary results demonstrated the feasibility and efficiency of the proposed method

    Design of Fuzzy Drip Irrigation Control System Based on ZigBee Wireless Sensor Network

    International audienceTo improve agricultural water resources’ utilization, crop’s automatic, locate, time and appropriate drip irrigation is a good choice. In this paper, an automatic control drip irrigation system based on ZigBee wireless sensor network and fuzzy control would be introduced. System uses CC2430 for wireless sensor network node design, collecting soil moisture, temperature and light intensity information and sending the drip irrigation instructions by the wireless network. System put this three soil factors input fuzzy controller, created fuzzy control rule base and finished crop irrigation time fuzzy control. This paper mainly describes system’s hardware structure, software design and working process. The system with the characteristics of economical, reliable communications and high accuracy control, could improve agricultural drip irrigation water using efficiency and the automation level

    Abstract: Ecological environment is the key point of improving the flower's quality and quantity. Due to China's flower production management at a lower level, there is no scientific method in real-time monitoring of the flower's ecological environment. In order to solve the problem such as high costs; poor monitoring point scalability, poor mobility and other issues in traditional flower basement's data acquisition system, this paper devises a wireless real-time system based on ZigBee technology for the monitoring of flower's ecological environment. By the analysis of ZigBee technology's characteristics, it focuses on the design of wireless gateway with S3C4510B; wireless sensor node control module AT89S51 and the communication module CC2430; analyses the Zigbee protocol stack network's formation and designs data acquisition and communication procedures. By monitoring every flower's ecological environment indicators in practice, this system can meet the needs of the realtime monitoring for flower's ecological environment
