    Boundary Hamiltonian theory for gapped topological phases on an open surface

    In this paper we propose a Hamiltonian approach to gapped topological phases on an open surface with boundary. Our setting is an extension of the Levin-Wen model to a 2d graph on the open surface, whose boundary is part of the graph. We systematically construct a series of boundary Hamiltonians such that each of them, when combined with the usual Levin-Wen bulk Hamiltonian, gives rise to a gapped energy spectrum which is topologically protected; and the corresponding wave functions are robust under changes of the underlying graph that maintain the spatial topology of the system. We derive explicit ground-state wavefunctions of the system and show that the boundary types are classified by Morita-equivalent Frobenius algebras. We also construct boundary quasiparticle creation, measuring and hopping operators. These operators allow us to characterize the boundary quasiparticles by bimodules of Frobenius algebras. Our approach also offers a concrete set of tools for computations. We illustrate our approach by a few examples.Comment: 21 pages;references correcte

    Danshen-Chuanxiong-Honghua Ameliorates Cerebral Impairment and Improves Spatial Cognitive Deficits after Transient Focal Ischemia and Identification of Active Compounds.

    Previously, we only apply a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) Danshen-Chuanxiong-Honghua (DCH) for cardioprotection via anti-inflammation in rats of acute myocardial infarction by occluding coronary artery. Presently, we select not only DCH but also its main absorbed compound ferulic acid (FA) for cerebra protection via similar action of mechanism above in animals of the transient middle cerebral artery occlusion (tMCAO). We investigated whether oral administration of DCH and FA could ameliorate MCAO-induced brain lesions in animals. By using liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), we analyzed four compounds, including tanshinol, salvianolic acid B, hydroxysafflor yellow A and especially FA as the putative active components of DCH extract in the plasma, cerebrospinal fluid and injured hippocampus of rats with MCAO. In our study, it was assumed that FA played a similar neuroprotective role to DCH. We found that oral pretreatment with DCH (10 or 20 g/kg) and FA (100 mg/kg) improved neurological function and alleviated the infarct volume as well as brain edema in a dose-dependent manner. These changes were accompanied by improved ischemia-induced apoptosis and decreased the inflammatory response. Additionally, chronic treatment with DCH reversed MCAO-induced spatial cognitive deficits in a manner associated with enhanced neurogenesis and increased the expression of brain-derived neurotrophic factor in lesions of the hippocampus. These findings suggest that DCH has the ability to recover cognitive impairment and offer neuroprotection against cerebral ischemic injury via inhibiting microenvironmental inflammation and triggering of neurogenesis in the hippocampus.     Effect of the COVID-19 on University Students’ Mental Health: A Longitudinal Study

    In order to understand the effect of COVID-19 on the mental health status of college students, The Symptomatological Check List-90 (SCL-90) was used to conduct 2 psychological tests on 537 college students enrolled in a college at the 8th and 20th month after the naming of COVID-19. The results of the study showed that: 1) 1st psychological test: 98 students (18.25%) had abnormal total scores (GSI≥160) and 35 students (6.5%) had GSI ≥200; 119 students (22.16%) had abnormal number of positive items (≥43). 2nd test: 66 (12.29%) students with abnormal total score (GSI ≥160), 18 (3.35%) students with GSI ≥200; 77 (14.34%) students with abnormal number of positive items (≥43). (ii) The number of students with factor scores ≥2 on the 2nd test decreased from the 1st, with the factor with the largest decrease in scores being anxiety, with a decrease ratio of 48.53%. The order was psychoticism 45.71%, paranoia 41.03%, terror 37.10%, depression 35.44%, and compulsion 34.36%. (iii) Levene's test, independent samples t-test and comparison of means were performed on the scores of boys and girls on the 10 factors in the 1st test, and there was no statistically significant difference in all factor scores. (iv) Independent samples t-test was conducted on the 1st test for only children and non-only children, and there was a statistically significant difference in the 3 factors of obsessive-compulsive symptoms, interpersonal sensitivity, and depressive symptoms, and the scores of non-only children were higher than those of only children

    This paper focuses on the green development of cultural tourism integrated industry clusters, discussing case studies such as Longquanyi District, Bazhong Guangwushan, and Shuangliu District. It examines from various perspectives the impact factors, development models, and core issues of green development evaluation in cultural tourism integration within industry clusters. Under the guidance of industrial cluster theory, industry integration theory, and sustainable development theory, a research approach is constructed: “Cultural Tourism Integration - Business Model Innovation - Industry Cluster - Green Development Evaluation - Policy Recommendations”. This study deeply analyzes the formation conditions, new business model development, level of green development, and existing problems of cultural tourism integrated industry clusters in different regions, and proposes corresponding policy recommendations. By combining theory with practice, this study provides useful references for promoting the integration and sustainable development of cultural, ecological, and tourism resources
