Multiple-Phase Modeling of Degradation Signal for Condition Monitoring and Remaining Useful Life Prediction

    Get PDF
Remaining useful life prediction plays an important role in ensuring the safety, availability, and efficiency of various engineering systems. In this paper, we propose a flexible Bayesian multiple-phase modeling approach to characterize degradation signals for prognosis. The priors are specified with a novel stochastic process and the multiple-phase model is formulated to a novel state-space model to facilitate online monitoring and prediction. A particle filtering algorithm with stratified sampling and partial Gibbs resample-move strategy is developed for online model updating and residual life prediction. The advantages of the proposed method are demonstrated through extensive numerical studies and real case studies

The Design of a Chemical Virtual Instrument Based on LabVIEW for Determining Temperatures and Pressures

    Get PDF
A LabVIEW-based self-constructed chemical virtual instrument (VI) has been developed for determining temperatures and pressures. It can be put together easily and quickly by selecting hardware modules, such as the PCI-DAQ card or serial port method, different kinds of sensors, signal-conditioning circuits or finished chemical instruments, and software modules such as data acquisition, saving, proceeding. The VI system provides individual and extremely flexible solutions for automatic measurements in physical chemistry research

In the title compound, C5H5NO3, the molecule lies on a crystallographic mirror plane with one half-molecule in the asymmetric unit. An intramolecular C—H⋯O interaction is present. In the crystal, strong intermolecular O—H⋯N hydrogen bonds result in the formation of a linear chain structure along [100], and there are also weak C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds between the chains which help to stabilize the crystal packing
