Fermions Tunneling from Higher-Dimensional Reissner-Nordstr\"om Black Hole: Semiclassical and Beyond Semiclassical Approximation
Based on semiclassical tunneling method, we focus on charged fermions
tunneling from higher-dimensional Reissner-Nordstr\"{o}m black hole. We first
simplify the Dirac equation by semiclassical approximation, and then a
semiclassical Hamilton-Jacobi equation is obtained. Using the Hamilton-Jacobi
equation, we study the Hawking temperature and fermions tunneling rate at the
event horizon of the higher-dimensional Reissner-Nordstr\"{o}m black hole
spacetime. Finally, the correct entropy is calculation by the method beyond
semiclassical approximation.Comment: 7 page
The role of venture capitalists in the formation of new technological trajectories: Evidence from the Cloud
We investigate the role of venture capitalists (VCs) in the creation of new technological ecosystems and in particular examine how VCs facilitate new ventures’ product development decisions to use new technological platforms. Focusing on the recent rapid rise of a new computing paradigm, cloud computing, we develop and test a set of hypotheses based on a 1999-2009 sample of start-up firms that offer enterprise software products. We find evidence of strong complementarity between VC financing and the introduction of new products offered over the cloud. Moreover, the complementarity effects are significantly stronger for firms backed by VCs that had rich experience in the IT industry and are significantly weaker for firms that had prior experience developing traditional client/server products
Nuclear geometry effect and transport coefficient in semi-inclusive lepton-production of hadrons off nuclei
Hadron production in semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering of leptons from
nuclei is an ideal tool to determine and constrain the transport coefficient in
cold nuclear matter. The leading-order computations for hadron multiplicity
ratios are performed by means of the SW quenching weights and the analytic
parameterizations of quenching weights based on BDMPS formalism. The
theoretical results are compared to the HERMES positively charged pions
production data with the quarks hadronization occurring outside the nucleus.
With considering the nuclear geometry effect on hadron production, our
predictions are in good agreement with the experimental measurements. The
extracted transport parameter from the global fit is shown to be for the SW quenching weight without the finite energy
corrections. As for the analytic parameterization of BDMPS quenching weight
without the quark energy E dependence, the computed transport coefficient is
. It is found that the nuclear geometry effect
has a significant impact on the transport coefficient in cold nuclear matter.
It is necessary to consider the detailed nuclear geometry in studying the
semi-inclusive hadron production in deep inelastic scattering on nuclear
targets.Comment: 14 pages, 3 figures. arXiv admin note: text overlap with
