Single-Class Genera of Positive Integral Lattices
We give an enumeration of all positive definite primitive Z-lattices in
dimension >= 3 whose genus consists of a single isometry class. This is
achieved by using bounds obtained from the Smith-Minkowski-Siegel mass formula
to computationally construct the square-free determinant lattices with this
property, and then repeatedly calculating pre-images under a mapping first
introduced by G. L. Watson. We hereby complete the classification of
single-class genera in dimensions 4 and 5 and correct some mistakes in Watson's
classifications in other dimensions. A list of all single-class primitive
Z-lattices has been compiled and incorporated into the Catalogue of Lattices
Experimental aspects of colour reconnection
This report summarises experimental aspects of the phenomena of colour
reconnection in W+W- production, concentrating on charged multiplicity and
event shapes, which were carried out as part of the Phenomenology Workshop on
LEP2 Physics, Oxford, Physics Department and Keble College, 14-18 April, 1997.
The work includes new estimates of the systematic uncertainty which may be

Central Coast Region South District Basin Planning & Habitat Mapping Project
This is a report to the California Department of Fish and Game. Between 2003 and 2008, the Foundation of CSUMB produced fish habitat maps and GIS layers for CDFG based on CDFG field data. This report describes the data entry, mapping, and website construction procedures associated with the project. Included are the maps that have been constructed. Incremental construction of minimal acyclic finite-state automata
In this paper, we describe a new method for constructing minimal,
deterministic, acyclic finite-state automata from a set of strings. Traditional
methods consist of two phases: the first to construct a trie, the second one to
minimize it. Our approach is to construct a minimal automaton in a single phase
by adding new strings one by one and minimizing the resulting automaton
on-the-fly. We present a general algorithm as well as a specialization that
relies upon the lexicographical ordering of the input strings.Comment: 14 pages, 7 figure
Embedding the 'new economy' in Europe : a study in the institutional specificities of knowledge-based growth
Aspirations for a 'new economy' currently feature prominently in the economic policy debate within the EU. So pronounced is elite interest in the 'new economy' that the issue of knowledge-based growth dominated the Special European Council organized for Lisbon in May 2000. However, the Presidential Conclusions to that Council failed to address the question of whether the European economy is institutionally compatible with knowledge-based growth. The 'new economy' is currently most developed within the United States, and the institutional specificities of the American high-tech sector suggest that it may be impossible simply to import the 'new economy' into Europe. The EU may lack both the labour market and the capital market conditions necessary for successfully embedding the 'new economy' in Europe
