Testing the viability of the interacting holographic dark energy model by using combined observational constraints
Using the data coming from the new 182 Gold type Ia supernova samples, the
shift parameter of the Cosmic Microwave Background given by the three-year
Wilkinson Microwave Anisotropy Probe observations, and the baryon acoustic
oscillation measurement from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey, and lookback
time measurements, we have performed a statistical joint analysis of the
interacting holographic dark energy model. Consistent parameter estimations
show us that the interacting holographic dark energy model is a viable
candidate to explain the observed acceleration of our universe.Comment: 15 pages, 9 figures, accepted for publication in JCA
A Note on Temperature and Energy of 4-dimensional Black Holes from Entropic Force
We investigate the temperature and energy on holographic screens for
4-dimensional black holes with the entropic force idea proposed by Verlinde. We
find that the "Unruh-Verlinde temperature" is equal to the Hawking temperature
on the horizon and can be considered as a generalized Hawking temperature on
the holographic screen outside the horizons. The energy on the holographic
screen is not the black hole mass but the reduced mass , which is
related to the black hole parameters. With the replacement of the black hole
mass by the reduced mass , the entropic force can be written as
, which could be tested by experiments.Comment: V4: 13 pages, 4 figures, title changed, discussions for experiments

Reconstructing the properties of dark energy from recent observations
We explore the properties of dark energy from recent observational data,
including the Gold Sne Ia, the baryonic acoustic oscillation peak from SDSS,
the CMB shift parameter from WMAP3, the X-ray gas mass fraction in cluster and
the Hubble parameter versus redshift. The model with curvature
and two parameterized dark energy models are studied. For the
model, we find that the flat universe is consistent with observations at the
confidence level and a closed universe is slightly favored by these
data. For two parameterized dark energy models, with the prior given on the
present matter density, , with ,
and , our result seems to suggest that the
trend of dependence for an evolving dark energy from a
combination of the observational data sets is model-dependent.Comment: 16 pages, 15 figures, To appear in JCA

A proposed reaction channel for the synthesis of the superheavy nucleus Z = 109
We apply a statistical-evaporation model (HIVAP) to calculate the cross
sections of superheavy elements, mainly about actinide targets and compare with
some available experimental data. A reaction channel Si + Am is
proposed for the synthesis of the element Z = 109 and the cross section is
estimated.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figures, 2 tables; two typos are corrected in Ref. [12]

Coexistence of the spin-density-wave and superconductivity in the (Ba,K)Fe2As2
The relation between the spin-density-wave (SDW) and superconducting order is
a central topic in current research on the FeAs-based high Tc superconductors.
Conflicting results exist in the LaFeAs(O,F)-class of materials, for which
whether the SDW and superconductivity are mutually exclusive or they can
coexist has not been settled. Here we show that for the (Ba,K)Fe2As2 system,
the SDW and superconductivity can coexist in an extended range of compositions.
The availability of single crystalline samples and high value of the energy
gaps would make the materials a model system to investigate the high Tc
ferropnictide superconductivity.Comment: 4 pages, 5 figure
Reconstructing interacting new agegraphic polytropic gas model in non-flat FRW universe
We study the correspondence between the interacting new agegraphic dark
energy and the polytropic gas model of dark energy in the non-flat FRW
universe. This correspondence allows to reconstruct the potential and the
dynamics for the scalar field of the polytropic model, which describe
accelerated expansion of the universe.Comment: 9 page
