Personal-organisational value conflicts and job satisfaction of internal construction stakeholders
This paper concerns the issue of value conflicts in construction organizations. This research was conducted in the Malaysian construction industry to fill the gap in the knowledge in areas of organizational behaviour in the construction industry in terms of the possible effects of conflicts on the job satisfaction of internal construction stakeholders. The conflicts considered are those rooted in differences between personal and organizational values. This research targeted professional project consultants identified as architects, engineers, and quantity surveyors as the internal construction stakeholders in Malaysia. The personal-organizational values and the level of job satisfaction of the stakeholders were assessed using a questionnaire survey. To achieve the research objective, comparative and hierarchical regression analyses were performed. The results generated by the analyses indicated a high level of value conflicts in the construction organizations which significantly and negatively affected job satisfaction of the internal stakeholders. Therefore this research, through investigating the potential effect of value conflicts on the stakeholders’ job satisfaction, reveals the importance of the interaction between personal and organizational values in construction organizations which contributes to the extant literature of organizational behaviour in construction.
Analysis of turnover intention among manufacturing technicians in electronic industry
This study aims to examine the influences of the plan to further study, career growth and discriminatory treatment on turnover intention among technicians in electronic industry in Malaysia. The objectives are: (i) To identify the relationship between the plan to further study and turnover intention among factory technicians, (ii) To identify the relationship between career growth and turnover intention among factory technicians, and (iii)To identify the relationship between discriminatory treatment factors and turnover intention among factory technicians. The population involved in this study were the manufacturing technicians at an electronic factory. Survey questionnaires were used to collect data. A total of 110 questionnaires were analyzed. Pearson correlation coefficient and regression analysis were used to measure the degree of relationship between variables. The findings showed that all independent variables; plan to further study, career growth and discriminatory treatment, were positive moderately correlated with turnover intention

Tahap Kefahaman Bacaan Kloz dan hubungannya dengan pencapaian bahasa Arab
Membaca ialah satu proses mental yang aktif dan pembaca mentafsir aksara huruf dan perkataan menjadi makna.
Membaca menjadi sedikit mencabar kepada pelajar bahasa kedua, termasuk pelajar bahasa Arab, memandangkan
pembaca bahasa kedua memerlukan daya tafsiran yang lebih sedikit berbanding kemahiran membaca bahasa
ibunda. Pada kebanyakan masa pula, pelajar perlu menterjemahkan dahulu perkataan Arab ke bahasa ibunda untuk
memahami bahasa Arab. Kelajuan membaca bahasa kedua tidak selaju membaca bahasa ibunda. Objektif kajian ini
adalah untuk meneliti tahap kemahiran kefahaman bacaan teks bahasa Arab dalam kalangan murid melalui Ujian
Kefahaman Bacaan Kloz, di samping mengamati hubungan antara tahap kefahaman bacaan dengan pencapaian
mata pelajaran bahasa Arab. Reka bentuk kajian ini ialah kajian tinjauan dengan menggunakan Ujian Kefahaman
Bacaan Kloz sebagai alat kajian. Respon kajian ialah seramai 60 pelajar yang dipilih secara rawak. Dapatan kajian
ini menunjukkan tahap kefahaman bacaan bahasa Arab berada pada tahap Sederhana. Tahap ini menunjukkan
pelajar memerlukan bimibingan untuk membaca petikan teks bahasa Arab. Mereka tidak mampu untuk membaca
dan memahami secara bersendirian. Dapatan juga menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tahap
kefahaman bacaan dengan pencapaian bahasa Arab. Ini sekaligus menunjukkan tahap kefahaman bacaan memberi
sumbangan kepada pencapaian bahasa Arab
A mathematical model of healthy diet menu plan for MARA Junior Science College boarding schools
Adolescents need more attention on eating habits as they go through a critical path period of physical, physiological and psychological changes from children to adult. Therefore, planning a proper healthy diet menu is important to adolescents to have the sufficient nutrients for proper growth. However, manually plan healthy diet menu is complicated, inefficient and time-consuming. The purpose of this study is to develop a mathematical model of healthy diet menu plan that minimizes the daily fat intake and meets the necessary nutrient intake for adolescents aged 13 between 17 years old within the budget provided by Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) for Malaysia adolescent in MARA Junior Science College (MJSC) boarding schools. Optimization approach and binary integer programming method were used to address the diet problem in this study. The finding of the study indicates that the developed mathematical model of healthy diet menu plan for MJSC can generate menu plan that minimizes the total fat intake at minimum level of requirement per day. This menu plan can be used as a guideline for the management of the boarding schools to provide healthy diet meals for their students
Strategic entrepreneurship framework for small and medium enterprises
Small and medium enterprises (SME) businesses are important economic growing forces, particularly in Malaysia through their significant economic contribution towards business population and employment creation. The aim of this study is to develop a framework integrating fundamental strategic entrepreneurship elements that support business growth in the context of engineering or technology-based firms within the Malaysian SME sector. Through interviews with SME firm owners and senior management personnel, common strategic entrepreneurship practices that significantly influence business growth were identified and converged into a framework. Findings revealed that the main elements practiced by the SME firms can be categorized as People, External, Innovation Approach and Internal. People element was most referred to by the research participants, followed by the other elements respectively. A new model was developed to depict these elements and is referred to in this study as the PIIE Entrepreneurial Model. The most common limitation highlighted by the research participants was on the communication and collaboration gap between the older and younger generation of employees. The research participants also reacted to the financial challenges faced especially in terms of sourcing grants or funds for the businesses. This study should impart useful insights for policy makers and provide SME strategy practitioners or leaders with strategic entrepreneurship guidelines to help improve businesses and SME sector’s competitiveness

The impact of mobile learning application through intention to use on employees skill usage
The learning delivery mechanism has evolved. The two most prevalent delivery modalities are instructor-led and self-paced. Self-learning tools include e-learning, online learning, and even mobile learning. Mobile learning is the latest trend in many industries and areas. Mobile device technologies are constantly developing, leading to increased usage. Mobile devices as learning tools have become a new corporate training delivery method. A similar learning tool is used by Telekom Malaysia (TM) organization. This study examined the impact of mobile learning applications on Telekom Malaysia employees' skill usage. This study has four goals. Hypotheses based on TAM and Kirkpatrick Evaluation Model have been generated for testing. Data were collected via questionnaires. The questionnaire has four primary study variables: perceived ease of use (PEOU), perceived usefulness (PU), intention to use (ITU), and skills. The surveys were given to executives and non-executives at Telekom Malaysia in Klang Valley, Malaysia. The study employed 137 completed questionnaires. The analysis uses SmartPLS 3 and IBM SPSS Statistics 26. The findings demonstrated that perceived ease of use, usefulness, and intention to use influenced TM employee skill usage. Intention to Use (ITU) mediated the link between perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness with TM employee skill usage. This study has contributed to both theoretical and practice
The influence of internet addiction and time spent on the internet towards social isolation among university students in Malaysia
Recent research has shown that there is a connection between Internet addiction and time spent on the Internet with social isolation of the users. Therefore, the aim of this study is to examine the influence of Internet addiction and time spent on the Internet towards social isolation among university students in Malaysia. A total of 110 respondents who were undergraduate and postgraduate students from four universities participated in the survey. The collected sample through purposive sampling technique was 110 responses which exceeded the minimum sample size. The research instruments for Internet addiction were adopted from Young Internet Addiction Scale Test which consist of 20 items whereas social isolation was measured using the UCLA Loneliness Scale consisting also of 20 items. Time spent on the Internet was measured based on the number of hours the students spent on social media platforms such as Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, and Instagram. The questionnaire was distributed via online channels due to the physical constraints of the Covid-19 pandemic. Data were analysed using IBM SPSS Statistics version 22 and Smart PLS-SEM Version 3.2.8. The measurement assessment showed that the data had fulfilled the composite reliability and convergent and discriminant validities requirements. The findings revealed that the level of Internet addiction, time spent on the Internet and social isolation were moderate. The findings also demonstrated that Internet addiction and time spent on the Internet influenced social isolation among university students
Analisis struktur teks dalam kemahiran membaca teks ekonomi
Setiap teks pembelajaran mempunyai kerangka maklumat yang ingin disampaikan oleh
penulis kepada pelajar. Kerangka maklumat inilah yang membentuk struktur teks. Justeru
pelajar yang membaca teks perlu mengenal pasti kerangka maklumat ini yang terkandung
dalam struktur teks untuk membantu mereka memahami teks secara lebih mendalam.
Kajian ini bertujuan mengenal pasti kerangka struktur teks ekonomi yang digunakan oleh
pelajar yang mengambil mata pelajaran Ekonomi. Topik yang dijadikan model analisis
struktur teks ialah topik Pasar Persaingan Sempurna. Reka bentuk kajian ini ialah reka
bentuk analisis kandungan, iaitu menganalisis jenis struktur teks setiap unit dan hubungan
struktur teks antara unit-unit dalam topik Pasar Persaingan Sempurna. Kajian mendapati
struktur teks unit terdiri dari teks jenis Huraian, Senarai, Sebab-akibat dan Urutan.
Manakala hubungan struktur teks antara unit terdiri dari jenis Huraian, Sebab-akibat,
Pengetahuan pra dan pengetahuan pos, dan Urutan. Implikasi kajian ini ialah pelajar yang
membaca teks ekonomi perlu mengenal pasti ciri-ciri struktur teks ekonomi untuk
memudahkan mereka memahami maklumat pembelajaran Ekonomi
