Research for Health Systems Strengthening in West Africa : workshop report, March 16 - 18, 2011, Dakar, Senegal

Results of the assessment demonstrated an overwhelming need for support particularly in Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali and Sierra Leone. The Dakar workshop was convened to respond to the clear need for research for health system strengthening in the four priority countries identified. More specifically, the Dakar workshop aimed at designing action plans tailored to each country. Shared problems that could be tackled through collective strategies were also identified. Action plans resulting from this workshop are to be implemented throughout a four-year project
