    Wind loading of ships - collected data from wind tunnel tests in uniform flow

    Data from wind tunnel tests on small models is the basis of our knowledge of wind loads on ships. Models of many ships have been tested at the Institute of Naval Architecture (IS). Not all the results have been published. Therefore this set of tables and diagrams has been prepared. It comprises wind load data and the geometry of 18 ships and variants, amongst them new types of ships which have arrived in the last few years. Furthermore, data of floating docks and other objects resembling ships has been included. All data stems from tests in uniform flow. To cover the variety of ships including traditional forms which still cross the oceans, test results by Aage of seven ships have been brought into the standard form presented here and added to the data set.
