Podpora rozhodovacich procesu pri planovani zdravotni pece - model ESRD.

The presented work deals with evaluation of health care interventions. The work is divided into two parts. The first one is focused on theoretical aspects of evaluation. Major used methodology concepts are reviewed, particularly cost effectiveness and cost utility analysis. As the basis theme for analysis, the metrics QALY was chosen. The QALY is analyzed from different perspectives - equity, capability to measure seriousness of illness, the target groups, and some other methodological implications. On the wide literature review it is shown, that QALY cannot be view as universal metrics purely used to get a complete comparison of such complex matter as health outcomes are. It was shown that QALY seems to be insensitive, and with equity principles which may reasonably differ from societal perspectives. The alternative metrics, which are also introduced in the work, are not considered to be sufficient replacement for QALY, although DALY has a wide support from its primary use WHO.
