Abstract: This dissertation is themed social control and seeks to examine whether the exercise by the prison has served as a public policy for drug users in poverty. Thus, a qualitative research through the ethnographic method was performed, which in addition to participant observation, featured interviews with a variety SCJ - system of criminal justice - operators such as judges, prosecutors, and their respective advisers and trainees; and analysis of various criminal process of drug trafficking. And with that understanding to what extent the representations of the SCJ operated on drugs organizes its members in a group, a dangerous class, to society, to thus analyze how the interaction through prosecution and selection that will classify these individuals as users or drug traffickers, ie the clinic or the prison. This thesis assumes the existence of various forms of social control, which are dispersed in society in different ways. In this way, social control is not something inherent to the company or natural, but socially constructed, being an effect of the socialization process that in an ideal type can be normal, through social integration mechanisms that promote cohesion and solidarity; or wicked, through mechanisms that seek to exclude conflicts, differences and mask inequalities, reinforcing stigma and prejudice, resulting in a state of anomie. One way of perverse social control is the prison, encouraged by public safety programs and conducted through the criminal justice system, resulting in a form of public policy. Consider all state actions to implement and / or offer services such as public policy, the prison is a public policy. So this dissertation intends to verify what are the representations of the SCJ operators on those involved with drugs to analyze whether the trafficking charge process, and so, with the arrest has been used as a public policy for crack users in poverty. Key-words: Social control; drugs; prohibition; crack; criminal justice system

The paper presents results of the three-year study of fertilization biology of 'Reka' highbush blueberry (Vaccinium corymbosum L.) under the cross-, open and self-pollination variants. Cross-pollination was performed using the pollen of 'Bluecrop', 'Duke', 'Nui' and 'Ozarkblue'. Pollen tube growth in vivo was monitored using fluorescent microscopy method. The folowing parameters were observed: the average number of pollen tubes in the upper part and base of the style, number of ovary locules with the penetration of pollen tubes, and polen tubes' growth dynamics through certain pistil parts. The highest number of pollen tubes in the upper part and base of the style, as well as the fastest penetration into the ovary locules were found in the open pollination variant. Significant decrease of pollen tubes number from the upper third to the base of the style has been recorded in all pollination variants, whereas in the self-pollination variant it was to the greatest extent. The results also indicated that pollen tube growth dynamics in the progamic phase of fertilization was significantly influenced by pollenizer genotype and environmental factors, temperature in particular. On the second day after pollination, pollen tubes penetrated the ovary locules in all pollination variants, implying that favourable period for fertilization in this cultivar was one to two days after flower opening. In self- and cross-pollination variants, dynamics of pollen tubes growth was similar, indicating that cultivar 'Reka', commonly grown in multi-varietal, could also be grown in mono-varietal plantations (without pollenizers)

T cell receptor sequence clustering and antigen specificity

There has been increasing interest in the role of T cells and their involvement in cancer, autoimmune and infectious diseases. However, the nature of T cell receptor (TCR) epitope recognition at a repertoire level is not yet fully understood. Due to technological advances a plethora of TCR sequences from a variety of disease and treatment settings has become readily available. Current efforts in TCR specificity analysis focus on identifying characteristics in immune repertoires which can explain or predict disease outcome or progression, or can be used to monitor the efficacy of disease therapy. In this context, clustering of TCRs by sequence to reflect biological similarity, and especially to reflect antigen specificity have become of paramount importance. We review the main TCR sequence clustering methods and the different similarity measures they use, and discuss their performance and possible improvement. We aim to provide guidance for non-specialists who wish to use TCR repertoire sequencing for disease tracking, patient stratification or therapy prediction, and to provide a starting point for those aiming to develop novel techniques for TCR annotation through clustering
