summary:The present paper deals with the problem of the construction of the difference formulae for the solution of the ordinary differential equation of the first order from the given characteristic polynomial, with the effect of the choice of zeros of the characteristic polunomial on the local error of the difference methods for the equation y=Ay, y(0)=1, Ay'=Ay,\ y(0)=1,\ A being a constant, and with the dependence of the error constant on the choice of zeros of the characteristic polynomial in the general case

Partial Pressures in Thermodynamics of Classical Fluid Mixtures

    No full text
Abstract: In the rational thermodynamics of most usual nonequilibrium "classical" fluid mixtures it has been proposed the "thermodynamic" partial pressure which generalize traditional definitions and merge together in an ideal gas mixture. In this paper, these thermodynamic partial pressures are calculated for a (real) gas mixture of methane-ethane-carbon dioxide and a liquid mixture of lithium hy droxide in water. The results are compared with those obtained using the classical formulations of partial pressures calculated in these mixtures as well
