Upgrading of Trutnov hl.n. Railway Station

Cílem diplomové práce je rekonstrukce železniční stanice Trutnov hlavní nádraží z hlediska vyhovění stávajícího provozu a především s ohledem na osoby s omezenou schopností pohybu a orientace. Bylo tedy nutné navrhnout nástupní hrany s výškou 550 mm nad temenem kolejnice. Návrh se dále zabývá odvodněním rekonstruovaných kolejí a napojení vlečky.The aim of the diploma thesis is a design of the reconstruction railway station Trutnov main station for compliance with current operations and especially with regard to persons with reduced mobility. So it was necessary to design the platform edge with a height of 550 mm above rail level. The design also deals with the drainage of reconstructed tracks and sidings connection.

Práce se zabývá úpravou geometrických parametrů koleje a rekonstrukcí železničního svršku v úseku km 75,55 – 78,7. Úsek se nachází na trati Týniště nad Orlicí - Letohrad. Další částí práce bude rekonstrukce odvodnění, návrh technologie prací, řešení přejezdů a nástupiště.Modification of geometry parameter of rails and reconstruction railway top part in section km 75,55 – 78,7 railway Týniště nad Orlicí - Letohrad. Polytetrafluorethylene-Au as a substrate for surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy

This study deals with preparation of substrates suitable for surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) applications by sputtering deposition of gold layer on the polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE) foil. Time of sputtering was investigated with respect to the surface properties. The ability of PTFE-Au substrates to enhance Raman signals was investigated by immobilization of biphenyl-4,4'-dithiol (BFD) from the solutions with various concentrations. BFD was also used for preparation of sandwich structures with Au or Ag nanoparticles by two different procedures. Results showed that PTFE can be used for fabrication of SERS active substrate with easy handle properties at low cost. This substrate was sufficient for the measurement of SERS spectrum of BFD even at 10-8 mol/l concentration

Calixphyrins. Hybrid macrocycles at the structural crossroads between porphyrins and calixpyrroles*

Abstract: Calixphyrins are a class of hybrid molecules that lie at the structural crossroads between porphyrins and calixpyrroles. Porphyrins, long known for their versatile metal cation coordination chemistry, are macrocycles that contain only sp 2 -hybridized bridging meso carbon atoms within their framework. Calix[n]pyrroles, on the other hand, are porphyrin analogs that contain pyrroles bridged exclusively by sp 3 meso carbon centers, and in recent years have been shown to display remarkable anion-binding properties. Calix[n]phyrins bear analogy to both the porphyrins and calixpyrroles and are macrocyclic analogs that contain a mixture of sp 2 -and sp 3 -hybridized meso carbon bridges. This leads to partial interruptions in the conjugation pathway of the molecule, introduces novel structural features, and leads to interesting anion and cation recognition properties. It also allows for modular syntheses. In the present paper, the chemistry of calix [n]phyrins, still at an early stage of exploration, is reviewed

Orientation measurement with gyrotheodolite

The article deals with the principle of using gyrotheodolite in connection and orientation measurements. It describes orientation measurements with gyrotheodolite, provides basic information about the device and explains how it works. The first part describes gyrotheodolite and methods of determining astronomical true north. The workflow for measurement and subsequent data processing is described below. In the second part, two orientation measurements are described and processed. Finally, the accuracy achieved and the possibility to use the device for activities other than mine measurement are assessed

Historical ‘signposts’ and other temporal indicators in the Czech lexicon

This article posits that the Czechs employ a great many historical markers, previously applied to other events of national importance, which help to shape collective memory and right the ‘wrongs’ of the past. It is argued that these temporal indicators share a number of clearly defined characteristics, and that their use is too systematic and calculated to be merely a function of the constraints of the lexicon. The first part of the study considers in detail questions of semantics (especially the distinction between denotation and connotation), the lexicographical sources available to the researcher, and the lexical ‘signpost’ in context, while the second part focuses on practical examples of lexical re-appropriation since 1918, with particular reference to dictionaries and the Czech National Corpus.University of Wolverhampto

Legal position and activities of the Czech National Bank

Central banks world-widely are institutions of crucial importance for economics of their countries, especially during the years of financial instability, in some cases having also an influence to other economies. The thesis deals with the topic of Czech National Bank (as the central bank of the Czech Republic), its legal position within the Czech legal system and its activities with regards to dynamic development in this area in recent years. The thesis is divided into chapters accordingly to its name and the subject matter. Introduction aims to introduce into topic, briefly describes the structure of the thesis. Introduction is followed by two main chapters - "Legal position of the CNB" and "Activities of the CNB", respectively. These chapters are composed of fractional subchapters and more fractional parts. Thesis is ended by conclusion. Second chapter analyses constitutional provisions relating to Czech National Bank and statutory provision included in Act No. 6/1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, with references to respective provisions of law of the European Union. It concerns also two significant rulings of Constitutional court related to the CNB and involves thoughts of some rules currently applied.
