MUC1 positive cutaneous metastasis with transepidermal elimination from a breast carcinoma
Breast cancer is the most common cause of cutaneous metastases from internal malignancies. Generally, the neoplastic cells are located in the dermis or hypodermis, while a finding of transepidermal elimination on cutaneous metastases is exceptional. In this report we present a patient with perforating cutaneous metastases from breast cancer with mucin 1 expression. Cutaneous, bone, lung, and hepatic lesions were detected two years after the diagnosis of the primary tumor.Fil: Luna, Amalia. Universidad Nacional de La Plata. Facultad de Ciencias Médicas. Acute effect of a static- and dynamic-based stretching warm-up on standing long jump performance in primary schoolchildren
The aim of the present study was to compare the acute effect of a static- vs dynamic-based stretching warm-up on standing long jump (SLJ) performance in primary schoolchildren. The sample was composed of 76 schoolchildren, 43 girls and 33 boys, aged 9 10 years old from three fourth-grade classes of Primary Education. The three groups were cluster-randomly assigned to the control (CG), static (SG) or dynamic (DG) groups. All the schoolchildren performed a standardized warm-up consisting of mobility exercises (five minutes), jogging (five minutes) and the SLJ test. Afterwards the CG schoolchildren received jump theory (eight
minutes), the SG performed static stretching (eight minutes) and the DG performed dynamic-bounces stretching (eight minutes). Afterwards, all of them performed the SLJ test again. The results of the one-way ANOVA (F2,73 = 34.184; p 0.05, d = 0.12). The dynamic-bouncing stretch as a final part of a warm-up improves explosive strength performance in primary schoolchildren, and seems to be a good option before carrying out explosive strength activities of the lower body
Statistical methods for quality equivalence of topical products. 0.5 mg/g betamethasone ointment as a case-study
This study examines the statistical implications, and their possible implementation, of the "Draft guideline on quality and equivalence of topical products" issued by the European Medicines Agency in 2018, with particular focus on the section devoted to quality equivalence of physical properties. A new confidence interval to conduct the quality equivalence test and a way to cope with the multiplicity of quality parameters are presented and discussed. As an example, the results and the statistical analysis of a study on betamethasone 0.5 mg/g ointment are presented. It is suggested that the equivalence limits proposed in the draft guideline are overly strict: It is as diffcult to declare quality equivalence between two packaging formats of the same reference product as to declare quality equivalence between the reference and the test product
Make the environment that can be achieved, fires, used and experienced by anyone, including those with reduced mobility, is an increasingly important need for professionals. Being the eye tracking is an assistive technology that enables you to identify objectively the visual perception was held an experiment that allows analyzing the people’s difficulties in internal visual identification on buildings. The article goal is to identify the focus of visual attention in people with motor disabilities using eye tracking glasses. To perform the experiment was used Senso Motoric Instruments (SMI) eye tracking glasses and was did analyses with the BeGaze software version 3.6. The results indicate the lack of visual information causes difficulties for people to locate and identify the correct route for the offset inside a building, reducing the subjectivity in making decisions to make accessible environments. The tests show that the participants do not have fixed their gaze on specific points, because it remained looking for visual information into the building generating lack of orientation and difficulties to define the right route at offset. With this experiment was possible to validate an application of the device to contribute to the decision-making process of professionals to make accessible environments. In addition, they recognized the particularities in the use of Assistive Technology, the glasses eye tracker, and the possibility of being used in the analysis of various tasks contributing in the Design, in the Architecture, and the Engineering
Family CEO affect and R&D investments of family firms: The moderation effect of family ownership structure
The last decades have seen increasing interest in the determinants of heterogeneity in family firm
innovation. In this study, we respond to recent calls to address the micro-level mechanisms
behind innovation in family firms. Specifically, we analyze the effect of family CEO affect, namely
positive and negative affective traits, on the R&D investment decisions of family firms. We also
analyze the moderating effect of family ownership structure on the influence of CEO affect on
these strategic decisions. Consistent with affect maintenance arguments, our findings of a sample
of 142 Spanish family firms show that positive family CEO affect negatively influences the R&D
investments of family firms, while negative affect positively influences these investments. The
results also show that family CEO ownership and family CEO branch ownership strengthen the
effects of family CEO affect on R&D investments, whereas ownership concentration in other
family branches weakens these effects. This work was supported by grant from the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovacion) ´ PID2020-120288 GB-I00
Animation short films as didactic tool to work education in values with young children
Education in values in the kindergarten contributes to the process of development and personal construction of young children. At schools, one of the main functions of teachers is that all the students internalize democratic values. It is not sufficient to have the support of legislation that regulates and encourages this area so that teachers would be able to tribute it by an optimal way. They must have a training that provides them with tools for effective and satisfactory classroom work. For some years now, pedagogical proposals have been proposed focusing on moral development based on work with certain short films that revolve around democratic values (Ruíz Rubio, 1994; Martínez-Salanova, 2003; Ambrós and Breu, 2007). We show an experience in the early childhood education (5 years-old students) during the academic year 2014-2015, based on a short film, “The Bridge”. As conclusion, the use of audiovisual productions, connected to suitable activities, is a very motivating factor for young children. It is able to contribute to modify behaviors in young children directed towards a culture of peace
The Parental Behavior Inventory (PBI) it is a recent self-report instrument designed to capture two independent global dimensions of the parental behavior mothers/fathers of preschool and younger students: Two studies were made to obtain evidences of the construct validity and internal dependability. Our first study had the goal of verifying the two constructos (construct validity); the results obtained using an confirmatory factorial analysis point out that both constructs can be identified in the sample of Peruvian evaluated mothers (n=115). The reliability to both subscales also is satisfactory. The second study it was made in 58 mothers, and we looked for extend the construct validity by means of the correlacional study of the PBI with emotional, couple’s relationship and demographic variables; the results suppoEl Inventario de Conducta Parental (ICP) es un reciente instrumento de autorreporte diseñado para capturar dos dimensiones globales e independientes de la conducta de crianza en madres/padres de niños de edad preescolar y primeros años de escolaridad.

Influence of Chemical Enhancers and Iontophoresis on the In Vitro Transdermal Permeation of Propranolol: Evaluation by Dermatopharmacokinetics
[EN] The aims of this study were to assess, in vitro, the possibility of administering propranolol transdermally and to evaluate the usefulness of the dermatopharmacokinetic (DPK) method in assessing the transport of drugs through stratum corneum, using propranolol as a model compound. Four chemical enhancers (decenoic and oleic acid, laurocapram, and R-(+)-limonene) and iontophoresis at two current densities, 0.25 and 0.5 mA/cm(2) were tested. R-(+)-limonene, and iontophoresis at 0.5 mA/cm(2) were proven to be the most efficient in increasing propranolol transdermal flux, both doubled the original propranolol transdermal flux. Iontophoresis was demonstrated to be superior than the chemical enhancer because it allowed faster delivery of the drug. The DPK method was sufficiently sensitive to detect subtle vehicle-induced effects on the skin permeation of propranolol. The shorter duration of these experiments and their ability to provide mechanistic information about partition between vehicle and skin and diffusivity through skin place them as practical and potentially insightful approach to quantify and, ultimately, optimize topical bioavailability. This research was funded by Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (AP2007-03456) and the Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera.Calatayud-Pascual, M.; Sebastian-Morelló, M.; Balaguer-Fernandez, C.; Delgado-Charro, M.; Lopez-Castellano, A.; Merino Sanjuán, V.
