La prueba COVID: implicaciones y consideraciones generales

Some comments regarding the diagnosis of SARS-CoV-2 or COVID-19 are presented. The contributions of Aubert et al. (2021) served as a foundation to identify several relevant aspects regarding the testing and diagnosis of this disease. As observed in the history of other pandemics, the most important thing is timely diagnosis, in order to isolate the patient and thereby control the spread and cut the chain of infection.Se presentan algunos comentarios con respecto al diagnóstico del SARS-CoV-2 o COVID-19. Los aportes de Aubert et al. (2021) sirvieron de fundamento para identificar varios aspectos relevantes con respecto a la prueba y diagnóstico de esta enfermedad. Como se observa en la historia de otras pandemias, lo más importante es el diagnóstico oportuno, para de esta manera aislar al paciente y con esto controlar la propagación y cortar la cadena de contagios
