XIX Seminário Nacional de Bibliotecas Universitárias - Manaus, 15 a 21 de outubro de 2016A estruturação de repositórios institucionais por universidades contribui para a promoção do seu prestígio, melhoria nos rankings de avaliação e, consequentemente, aumento de sua relevância e influência. Para a Universidade Federal da Integração Latino-Americana (UNILA), cuja missão institucional é representada pela formação de recursos humanos que venham a contribuir com a integração latino-americana, com o desenvolvimento regional e com o intercâmbio cultural, científico e educacional da América Latina, as ferramentas para aumentar o tempo de preservação e ampliar o acesso à informação têm vital importância. Espera-se que o repositório venha a contribuir para o acesso livre de informações; facilitar a gestão da informação disponível em meio digital; preservar a memória institucional e ampliar a visibilidade e uso da produção intelectual desenvolvida na universidade. Mural digital de divulgação de informações na Biblioteca de Ciência e Tecnologia da Universidade Federal do Paraná: um relato de experiência

This paper raised in the literature the issue of disclosure of information in libraries through the use of the end marketing tool. Objective presenting of the implementation of the dissemination project, called Digital Wall. Methodology sought to describe the research carried out, through bibliographical research in databases at BRAPCI in the area of Information Science. As a result of the research, 10 articles were recovered that served as a theoretical reference for the work. It is concluded that objectives were reached regarding the presentation of the stages of implementation of the Digital Wall and the acceptance of the community

Trabalhos de conclusão de curso da Universidade Federal da Integração Latino-Americana (UNILA): a cultura de auto-arquivamento um relato de experiência

This article presents the culture of self-archiving Undergraduate thesis by students of the twenty-nine (29) undergraduate courses at the Federal University of Latin American Integration (Unila). The general objective was presenting the self-archiving culture of academic works and specific objectives; i) briefly present the repository; ii) demonstrate the steps to start the self-archiving culture and, iii) make the points (positive and negative) of this experience visible. The methodology used was bibliographic research as a theoretical foundation and also the description of the steps to achieve the culture of self-archiving in the institution. As a result, two (02) points were identified: i) positive, as the nature of UNILA is a new institution, which made it possible to instill a philosophy of self-archiving since graduation and ii) negative: referring to the improvement of self-archiving procedures with all areas involved

A Biblioteca Digital de Periódicos (BDP) e o serviço de validação de DOI para periódicos da Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR): um relato de experiência

The objective of this paper is to present an experience report on the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) validation service carried out on the Digital Library of Periodicals of the Federal University of Parana (BDP/UFPR). The research methodology was based on bibliographical research where we sought, through the BRAPCI base, to raise an atheoretical framework on the subject in the area of Information Science. The presented results describe the validation service, along with the scientific journals available in the BDP. It is concluded that the DOI validation service with journals enables greater academic visibility of the institution's editions and scientific articles

In search of an ideal repository : software analysis based on open archives

A Exposição da Pesquisa Experimental em Comunicação Social – trouxe importantes modificações tais como: (a) a competição entre os alunos de graduação ocorrerá nas respectivas regiões e no concurso nacional serão encaminhados os colocados em primeiro lugar regionalmente; e (b) todas as ações envolvidas no concurso serão feitas em ambiente digital. Tais alterações exigiram a implantação de um sistema de gestão atendendo, principalmente, os quesitos de avaliação descentralizada e on-line, transparência do processo, preservação da memória e acesso público ao texto completo dos participantes. Este paper relata o estudo comparativo feito entre os softwares SEER/OJS, Dici/Eprints e SOAC/OCS, de modo a identificar seus níveis de aderência às especificidades do referido concurso. Com base nos critérios tecnológicos aplicados a sistemas e critérios relativos às funcionalidades e serviços agregados analisados em cada software, conclui-se que o sistema ideal para a Expocom 2007 deveria integrar especificidades oriundas dos três softwares, a saber: a funcionalidade e modelo de gestão do SEER/OJS, o sistema de armazenamento e formatos do Dici/Eprints e o modelo do processo de revisão do SOAC/OCS. _________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACTThe Exposition of the Experimental Research in Social Communication has important alterations such as: (a) this year the competition between undergraduate students will be in each Brazilian region first, then the first winner of each region will be in the national competition and also, (b) this year, all the process involved in the competition will be in digital environment. This context demanded the implementation of a management system having taken care of, mainly, the questions of decentralized and on-line peer review, transparency of the process, digital preservation of the material submitted and public access to them. This paper describes the results of the comparative study between the software SEER/OJS, Dici/Eprints and SOAC/OCS, in order to identify if they can be useful for this competition. Based on the results of the analysis of each software - using the technological criteria applied to the relative systems and criteria to the functionalities and analyzed aggregate services – the conclusion was that the ideal system for Expocom 2007 should integrate some aspects of each one of them: the functionality and management model of the SEER/OJS, the system of storage and documents formats of the Dici/Eprints and the model of the peer review process of the SOAC/OCS
