Massive Fields of Arbitrary Integer Spin in Symmetrical Einstein Space

    Get PDF
We study the propagation of gauge fields with arbitrary integer spins in the symmetrical Einstein space of any dimensionality. We reduce the problem of obtaining a gauge-invariant Lagrangian of integer spin fields in such background to an purely algebraic problem of finding a set of operators with certain features using the representation of high-spin fields in the form of some vectors of pseudo-Hilbert space. We consider such construction in the linear order in the Riemann tensor and scalar curvature and also present an explicit form of interaction Lagrangians and gauge transformations for massive particles with spins 1 and 2 in terms of symmetrical tensor fields.Comment: 15 pages, latex, no figures, minor change

The latest technologies for climate change mitigation are carbon capture and storage (CCS). Some countries are developing CCS projects, and they are currently at different stages of deployment. Despite the signing of international agreements on climate change mitigation, Russia does not ensure the development of CCS technologies and their implementation. Given the long-term development of such technologies, its main goal is to raise public awareness of carbon capture, storage and use.Currently, the problem of creating public awareness about CCS technologies has gained a huge momentum in the Russian Federation. A high level of awareness and approval of such projects will encourage the deployment of CCS projects in the Russian Federation. The purpose of this article is to study the level of awareness of the Russian society regarding CCS technologies, as well as to develop a multi-level complex system of measures to ensure that such awareness is raised in the near future. To achieve this goal, we used such methods as research of secondary and primary sources of information on this topic. In addition to analyzing the information of scientific publications on the subject under study, both secondary (content analysis of printed media materials, video hosting, social networks) and primary research (personal survey, experiment) were conducted. As the most important results, we can highlight the obtained structure of popularity of environmental information sources among students of two universities in Saint Petersburg. In addition, it has been proved that currently in the Russian Federation, insufficient attention is paid to the popularization of carbon sequestration technologies. the analysis of the dissemination of information about CCS technologies in social networks, school textbooks, Newspapers, and video hosting services was carried out. Content analysis of existing social groups and videos in social networks is presented

Thermal history of diamond from Arkhangelskaya and Karpinsky-I kimberlite pipes

This work studies and compares the main morphological, structural, and mineralogical features of 350 diamond crystals from the Karpinsky-I and 300 crystals of the Arkhangelskaya kimberlite pipes. The share of crystals of octahedral habit together with individual crystals of transitional forms with sheaf-like and splintery striation is higher in the Arkhangelskaya pipe and makes 15 %. The share of cuboids and tetrahexahedroids is higher in the Karpinsky-I pipe and stands at 14 %. The share of dodecahedroids in the Arkhangelskaya and Karpinsky-I pipes are 60 % and 50 %, respectively. The indicator role of the nitrogen-vacancy N3 center active in absorption and luminescence is shown. Crystals with the N3 absorption system have predominantly octahedral habit or dissolution forms derived from the octahedra. Their thermal history is the most complex. Absorption bands of the lowest-temperature hydrogen-containing defects (3050, 3144, 3154, 3188, 3310 cm−1, 1388, 1407, 1432, 1456, 1465, 1503, 1551, 1563 cm−1), are typical for crystals without N3 system, where in the absorption spectra nitrogen is in the form of low-temperature A and C defects. The above mentioned bands are registered in the spectra of 16 % and 42 % of crystals from the Arkhangelskaya and Karpinsky-I pipes, respectively. The diamond of the studied deposits is unique in the minimum temperature (duration) of natural annealing. Based on a set of features, three populations of crystals were distinguished, differing in growth conditions, post-growth, and thermal histories. The established regularities prove the multi-stage formation of diamond deposits in the north of the East European Platform and significant differences from the diamonds of the Western Cisurals. The results suggest the possibility of the existence of primary deposits dominated by diamonds from one of the identified populations

Social media prevalence study of information about carbon dioxide capture and storage projects

    Get PDF
This article is devoted to the relevant topic of reducing the concentration of greenhouse gases in the Earth’s atmosphere. The relevance of the article is confirmed by the fact that within the framework of the Paris Agreement, a number of countries, including the Russian Federation, have undertaken obligations to implement measures entailing the achievement of this goal. Among such activities the development and implementation of carbon dioxide capture and storage projects (hereinafter referred to as CCUS projects) are important, one of the conditions for the development of which is to achieve a certain level of public approval of such projects. The article presents an overview of Russian and foreign sources of information on both the prospects for the development of projects for the capture, storage and utilization of carbon dioxide and the problems of prevalence of information about such projects. A study of four of the most popular social networks in the Russian Federation for the presence of video content and communities on topics such as “CO2”, “Greenhouse gases”, “CO2 capture”, “CO2 Utilization”, “CO2 emission” and a number of others was conducted. It was revealed that some of the topics are not represented in social networks at all, and the rest is rarely traced. Recommendations to increase the level of public awareness about CCUS projects are given

Delivery of coenzyme Q10 loaded micelle targets mitochondrial ROS and enhances efficiency of mesenchymal stem cell therapy in intervertebral disc degeneration

Stem cell transplantation has been proved a promising therapeutic instrument in intervertebral disc degeneration (IVDD). However, the elevation of oxidative stress in the degenerated region impairs the efficiency of mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) transplantation treatment via exaggeration of mitochondrial ROS and promotion of BMSCs apoptosis. Herein, we applied an emulsion-confined assembly method to encapsulate Coenzyme Q10 (Co-Q10), a promising hydrophobic antioxidant which targets mitochondria ROS, into the lecithin micelles, which renders the insoluble Co-Q10 dispersible in water as stable colloids. These micelles are injectable, which displayed efficient ability to facilitate Co-Q10 to get into BMSCs in vitro, and exhibited prolonged release of Co-Q10 in intervertebral disc tissue of animal models. Compared to mere use of Co-Q10, the Co-Q10 loaded micelle possessed better bioactivities, which elevated the viability, restored mitochondrial structure as well as function, and enhanced production of ECM components in rat BMSCs. Moreover, it is demonstrated that the injection of this micelle with BMSCs retained disc height and alleviated IVDD in a rat needle puncture model. Therefore, these Co-Q10 loaded micelles play a protective role in cell survival and differentiation through antagonizing mitochondrial ROS, and might be a potential therapeutic agent for IVDD
