Congenital labio-palatal fissures occupy leading place in children`s morbidity. These are malformations ranked with first place among the congenital abnormalities of the maxillofacial region with frequency of 1:1000. The obturators serve for closure of congenital or acquired bone and soft tissue defects in the region of hard and soft palate. They are intended to interrupt the connection between nasal and oral cavities thus enhancing speech, breathing, eating, and drinking. We aimed at working-out the dental prosthetic design which has functional fitness and maximal esthetics and enables the patients to improve their speech, breathing, eating, and drinking liquids along with successful re-socialization. We arranged a multidisciplinary team of dental physicians and dental technicians. Recovery involved two main stages: orthodontic treatment and prosthetic rehabilitation. By the formation of this team, a contemporary, highly esthetic partial prosthesis with an obturating part was elaborated. The patient reported improvement of speech, breathing, eating and drinking liquids as well as gaining self-confidence due to obliteration of the unfavourable sequelae of the defect
