LA INGENIERÍA ADMINISTRATIVA COMO HERRAMIENTA PARA IDENTIFICAR RETOS Y OPORTUNIDADES ORGANIZACIONALES
El presente artículo tiene por objeto la divulgación de resultados de la tesis denominada “Aplicación de la metodología Problem Solving en el COPLADEMUN del H. Ayuntamiento de Tlalnepantla, Morelos.” Trabajo investigativo en el que se demuestra la factibilidad de la ingeniería administrativa al centrarse en la aplicación de herramientas y técnicas metodológicas para la solución oportuna de problemas organizacionales. El objeto de estudio es un ente económico mediano, de servicios, en el que los principales resultados afirman la eficiencia operativa del Comité de Planeación para el Desarrollo Municipal, como órgano garante, determinante y dictaminador de acciones, planes y programas en favor del desarrollo social, validando los resultados con la erradicación de incidencias en la materia. 
Enzymatic Depolimerization of Chitosan for the Preparation of Functional Membranes
This work reports the study of chitosan depolymerization through the synergy of the Celuzyme® XB enzyme complex; it is composed of cellulase, xylanase, and β-glucanase. The optimal conditions of temperature, pH, and concentration were determined to verify the depolymerization reaction. The specificity of the enzymes at the β (1-4) glycosidic link site was checked. Low molecular weight chitosan (64 × 103 g·mol−1) with degree of acetylation 15% was obtained. The depolymerized chitosan products were characterized by infrared spectroscopy, the degree of acetylation was obtained by UV-Vis spectroscopy, and the determination of the molecular weight was obtained by capillary viscosimetry. With the depolymerized chitosan, membranes were formed and their antioxidant and antimicrobial functionality was determined; results show that these properties are dependent on the molecular weight and on the acetylation degree of chitosan
Phenolic resin-commercial graphite disk preparation: Effect of the resin amount and the thermal treatment on the structural, morphological and mechanical properties
"In this work, macroporous discs were prepared using synthesized phenolic resin (PR) and commercial graphite mixtures (15–40 weight percent). The structure of the PR resin was confirmed by Proton Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and Gas Chromatography Coupled to Mass Spectrometry while the curing temperature was determined by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy. Also, the surface homogeneity and the structural analysis of the prepared disks were examined by means of scanning electron microscopy and X-ray powder diffraction analysis, respectively. According to the micrographs it was observed that as the PR amount increased disks’ porosity decreased giving rise to homogeneous and smooth surfaces which was explained in terms of the X-ray diffraction analysis that proved that graphite average crystal size (ACS) values decreased progressively with PR amount. Furthermore, it was demonstrated that the mechanical resistance could be tuned with the PR amount and the thermal treatment since as both increased the disks’ hardness augmented"
Aerożele krzemionkowe na bazie polimerowych mieszanin polipirolu i nanorurek węglowych
Novel silica aerogels were produced from carbon nanotubes/carbon black/polypyrrole (NTC/CB/PPy) blends, and their structure characterized by FT-IR analysis. X-ray diffraction analysis confirms the presence of amorphous silica and a new reflection at 2θ = 13°, which had not been reported before. SEM micrographs of the aerogels reveal the connectivity of the micropores of the material, along with the different fillers (NTC/CB/PPy), which allow to increase the water absorption of the aerogels and to increase thermal stability. The mechanical and thermal properties of the resulting aerogels are significantly better than those of similar materials reported in the literature.Otrzymano nowe aerożele krzemionkowe z wykorzystaniem mieszanin nanorurek węglowych, sadzy węglowej i polipirolu (NTC/CB/PPy). Strukturę wytworzonych aerożeli scharakteryzowano na podstawie widm FT-IR. Metodą dyfrakcji rentgenowskiej potwierdzono w nich obecność amorficznej krzemionki, stwierdzono też, wcześniej nieopisywane, odbicie przy 2θ = 13°. Mikrofotografie SEM aerożeli wykazały połączenia mikroporów krzemionki z cząstkami różnych napełniaczy (NTC/CB/PPy), pozwalające zwiększyć absorpcję wody przez aerożele i ich stabilność termiczną. Wykazano, że właściwości mechaniczne i termiczne powstałych aerożeli są znacznie lepsze niż właściwości podobnych materiałów opisanych w literaturze
Financiamiento de la educación superior en América Latina Funding higher education in Latin America
El trabajo parte de un panorama general de la situación de la educación superior en América Latina, tanto de su crecimiento cuantitativo como de las políticas públicas más relevantes. En la segunda parte es analizada una de esas políticas, la de financiamiento de las universidades públicas. Para ese trabajo fueran utilizados los datos basados en los estudios de lesalc/UNESCO. Por fin, el texto discute un plan de acción para el establecimiento de una agenda de financiamiento en la educación superior.<br>This work is based on an overview of the situation of higher education in Latin America, both of its quantitative growth and its more relevant public policies. The second part examines one of those policies: that of funding public universities. The work used data based on studies by IESALC/UNESCO. Finally, an action plan is discussed for the establishment of an agenda to fund higher education
