Determination of the Minimum Amount of Financial Costs in the Event of Occurrence of Selected Crisis Situations Caused by Passengers at the Airport
Aircraft accidents are currently a relatively common phenomenon. They are the most distressed situations in civil aviation, critical not only for the general public, but also for air transport operators and airports. Every crisis situation has different impacts on the airport, whether material or financially. The aim of this contribution is to analyze the course and impact of selected crisis situations, including unlawful interference, deterioration of passenger’s health on an aircraft board and crowd psychosis, and then quantify the minimum amount of financial costs that arise in these crises. The calculation of these costs is particularly important for airports and their effective preparation for the possible occurrence of individual crisis situations. This raises the question of whether airports are prepared for the possible occurrence of crisis situations and whether they create at least a minimum financial margin to eliminate the impact of each crisis situation
Selected Aspects of Using the Telemetry Method in Synthesis of RelNav System for Air Traffic Control
Accuracy is an important factor in air traffic management which is why high requirements are necessary for each navigation system. The aim of this article is to describe the principles of the RelNav system and telemetry and their accuracy. We present the algorithms of the relative navigation system, which could be used for air traffic control in the case of the unavailability of satellite navigation system signals. This article sums up the different positioning methods, and deals with the accuracy of the relative navigation system (RelNav). Furthermore, the article considers the factors that influence the positioning accuracy. For this task, a computer simulation was created to evaluate the accuracy of the telemetric method. Next, we discuss the principles of telemetry and algorithms for calculating the position of the flying object (FO).

Analysis of Aviation Accidents in a Selected Area Aiming to Identify the Basic Parameters of Their Impact on the Environment
The impact of the economy and transport is currently a closely watched trend. Air transport has many advantages that favor it over other modes of transport. However, the environmental impact of avia- tion on the environment is not negligible, despite the fact that many important aviation organizations are constantly assessing the level of this impact and taking appropriate action on that basis. Despite the adoption of measures to increase air safety, accidents continue to occur. Among other things, they have a negative impact on the environment. The negative impact of an aviation emergency re- sults from the leakage of liquids into the soil and water, and the leakage of flue gases and combustion products of aircraft construction materials in the event of a fire into the air. This article deals with the analysis of aviation accidents in a selected area aiming to identify the parameters affecting the environment in these emergencies
Demotivation of medical staff in the selected health facility in Slovakia
The biggest challenges for today’s businesses and facilities in ministries (health, education, defence, police, etc.) are to constantly increase their effectiveness. The quality and efficiency of each business are above all quality employees. They should be as satisfied and motivated as possible to their work performance. This requires careful and funded leadership by properly prepared and carefully considered managers. Providing excellent employee work performance is beneficial to the enterprise/organization and workers themselves. Nowadays, when employees are an integral part of a knowledge-based business/organization, there is a progress that cannot be achieved without development of the workforce. Although educated people work in the healthcare facility under investigation, it is not always possible to achieve a synergy effect based on excellent work performance and successful system management of the given healthcare facility. Managerial readiness and knowledge of factors affecting employee satisfaction and motivation enables them to prepare an appropriate incentive program that can influence the behaviour of individuals or workgroups towards to develop and effectively use the potential of employees, their responsible and quality work, considering their personal goals, and also the interest in the entire facility. Motivation/demotivation of healthcare personnel are frequently discussed issue in relation to healthcare policy making and overall health performance. The quality of health care and the performance of healthcare providers depend not only on the level of education, but also on the willingness and motivation of healthcare professionals. Even in a relatively stable environment, it is necessary to examine what contributes to the motivation of individual workers and what their behavioural patterns are. While motivation is generally paid great attention, in the healthcare system, research is mainly carried out on its performance and relatively few studies relate only to the field of motivation of healthcare professionals. The authors’ ambition is to present research on this topic and to introduce some measures that could contribute to improving the motivation systém of healthcare personnel in Slovakia. In a sense, we have tried to briefly compare the similarity of the system of healthcare motivation in Slovakia to systems in selected, mainly developed countries
PROBABILISTIC MODEL FOR AIRPORT RUNWAY SAFETY AREAS
The Laboratory of Aviation Safety and Security at CTU in Prague has recently started a project aimed at runway protection zones. The probability of exceeding by a certain distance from the runway in common incident/accident scenarios (take-off/landing overrun/veer-off, landing undershoot) is being identified relative to the runway for any airport. As a result, the size and position of safety areas around runways are defined for the chosen probability. The basis for probability calculation is a probabilistic model using statistics from more than 1400 real-world cases where jet airplanes have been involved over the last few decades. Other scientific studies have contributed to understanding the issue and supported the model's application to different conditions
Environmental Impact of Burning Composite Materials Used in Aircraft Construction on the Air
The negative impact of air incidents and emergency situations results from the leakage of liquids into the soil and water and the leakage of flue gases and combustion products of aircraft structural materials into the air during fires. This article deals with air pollution caused by the combustion of composite materials commonly used in general aviation. Samples of composite materials of aircraft registered in the Czech Republic were selected. These samples of composite materials were tested for flammability, according to ISO 5660-1:2002 Reaction to fire tests—Heat Release, smoke production and mass loss rate (ISO—International Organization for Standardization). Total smoke release and total oxygen consumed were assessed in this study, both of which have a significant impact on air quality in the case of an air incident. Based on the results of the research, differences resulting from the diversity of the structures of the tested composite materials were found. The most hazardous composite material was evaluated from the point of view of its impact on air quality during combustion
