Current-sheet formation in incompressible electron magnetohydrodynamics
The nonlinear dynamics of axisymmetric, as well as helical, frozen-in vortex
structures is investigated by the Hamiltonian method in the framework of ideal
incompressible electron magnetohydrodynamics. For description of current-sheet
formation from a smooth initial magnetic field, local and nonlocal nonlinear
approximations are introduced and partially analyzed that are generalizations
of the previously known exactly solvable local model neglecting electron
inertia. Finally, estimations are made that predict finite-time singularity
formation for a class of hydrodynamic models intermediate between that local

The comparison and assessment have been performed to characterize salt tolerance of some varieties of Indian mustard (Brassica juncea Czern.) seedlings and young plants. Some mechanisms of NaCl tolerance have been studied and the indirect relationship between accumulation of Cl ions in leaves and their proline content have been established. Finite time singularities in a class of hydrodynamic models
Models of inviscid incompressible fluid are considered, with the kinetic
energy (i.e., the Lagrangian functional) taking the form in 3D Fourier representation, where
is a constant, . Unlike the case (the usual Eulerian
hydrodynamics), a finite value of results in a finite energy for a
singular, frozen-in vortex filament. This property allows us to study the
dynamics of such filaments without the necessity of a regularization procedure
for short length scales. The linear analysis of small symmetrical deviations
from a stationary solution is performed for a pair of anti-parallel vortex
filaments and an analog of the Crow instability is found at small wave-numbers.
A local approximate Hamiltonian is obtained for the nonlinear long-scale
dynamics of this system. Self-similar solutions of the corresponding equations
are found analytically. They describe the formation of a finite time
singularity, with all length scales decreasing like ,

Based on the analysis of the scientific publications, the authors analyzed the possibilities and effectiveness of platelet- rich plasma (PRP) application as a stimulator of engraftment and biological transformation of tendinous autografts and allografts after arthroscopic reconstruction of knee anterior cruciate ligament. The topic of impossibility of spontaneous recovery of torn anterior cruciate ligament of knee, and describe the staging of biological incorporation of tendinous transplant in a bone wall was discussed. The authors presented methods and techniques of accelerating engraftment of free tendinous graft into bone channels described in the literature and the difference of terms of remodeling the autografts and allografts. Prospects for terahertz imaging the human skin cancer with the help of gold-nanoparticles-based terahertz-to-infrared converter
The design is suggested, and possible operation parameters are discussed, of
an instrument to inspect a skin cancer tumour in the terahertz (THz) range,
transferring the image into the infrared (IR) and making it visible with the
help of standard IR camera. The central element of the device is the THz-to-IR
converter, a Teflon or silicon film matrix with embedded 8.5 nm diameter gold
nanoparticles. The use of external THz source for irradiating the biological
tissue sample is presumed. The converter's temporal characteristics enable its
performance in a real-time scale. The details of design suited for the
operation in transmission mode (in vitro) or on the human skin in reflection
