Tensor analyzing power Ayy in deuteron inclusive breakup at large Pt and spin structure of deuteron at short internucleonic distances
The Ayy data for deuteron inclusive breakup off hydrogen and carbon at a
deuteron momentum of 9.0 GeV/c and large Pt of emitted protons are presented.
The large values of Ayy independent of the target mass reflect the sensitivity
of the data to the deuteron spin structure. The data obtained at fixed and
plotted versus Pt clearly demonstrate the dependence of the deuteron spin
structure at short internucleonic distances on two variables. The data are
compared with the calculations using Paris, CD-Bonn and Karmanov's deuteron
wave functions.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figures, talk given at the SPIN2004 Conf., 10-16 Oct.

Analyzing powers Ayy, Axx, Axz and Ay in the dd->3Hen reaction at 270 MeV
The data on the tensor Ayy, Axx, Axz and vector Ay analyzing powers in the
dd->3Hen obtained at Td= 270 MeV in the angular range 0 - 110 degrees in the
c.m. are presented. The observed negative sign of the tensor analyzing powers
Ayy, Axx and Axz at small angles clearly demonstrate the sensitivity to the
ratio of the D and S wave component of the 3He wave function. However, the
one-nucleon exchange calculations by using the standard 3He wave functions have
failed to reproduce the strong variation of the tensor analyzing powers as a
function of the angle in the c.m.Comment: 8 pages, 7 figures, 4 tables. Submitted to EPJ
Evidence for the Nucleon Resonance from Combined Studies of CLAS Photo- and Electroproduction Data
The analysis of the nine 1-fold differential cross sections for the
photo- and electroproduction reactions
obtained with the CLAS detector at Jefferson Laboratory was carried out with
the goal to establish the contributing resonances in the mass range from
1.6~GeV to 1.8~GeV. In order to describe the photo- and electroproduction data
with -independent resonance masses and hadronic decay widths in the
range below 1.5~GeV, it was found that an state is required
in addition to the already well-established nucleon resonances. This work
demonstrates that the combined studies of photo- and
electroproduction data are vital for the observation of this resonance. The
contributions from the state and the already established
state with a mass of 1.745~GeV are well separated by their
different hadronic decays to the and final states and the
different -evolution of their photo-/electroexcitation amplitudes. The
state is the first recently established baryon resonance for
which the results on the -evolution of the photo-/electrocouplings have
become available. These results are important for the exploration of the nature
of the ``missing'' baryon resonances.Comment: accepted for publication in Phys. Lett.
A Raman Study of Morphotropic Phase Boundary in PbZr1-xTixO3 at low temperatures
Raman spectra of PbZr1-xTixO3 ceramics with titanium concentration varying
between 0.40 and 0.60 were measured at 7 K. By observing the
concentration-frequency dependence of vibrational modes, we identified the
boundaries among rhombohedral, monoclinic, and tetragonal ferroelectric phases.
The analysis of the spectra was made in the view of theory group analysis
making possible the assignment of some modes for the monoclinic phase.Comment: 5 pages, 4 figure
QUALITATIVE AND QUANTITATIVE ASSESSMENT OF OSTEOREGENERATION AT THE APPLICATION OF HYDROXYAPATITE IN SURGICAL PRACTICE
The article shows the possibilities of multispiral computed tomography (MSCT) studies in the assessment of osteoregeneration of bone tissue after application of hydroxyapatite for filling of bone defects at different surgical operations. The comparative assessment of the rate of consolidation according to X-ray computed tomography (CT) in patients with bone fractures treated with the use of hydroxyapatite and without it is presented in the article. We studied 17 people (10 males and 7 females; average age - 39,3 ± 12,4 years). Revision arthroscopic plasty of anterior cruciate ligament of knee (n = 7 (58,3 %)), hydroxyapatite plasty of defect of bone tissue at the osteosynthesis of long bone fractures by metal constructions (n = 5 (41,6 %)) were realized. In 7 (58,3 %) cases the operation was performed with use of hydroxyapatite and in 5 (41,6 %) cases the surgery of osteosynthesis was realized with use of titanium plates. The dynamics of consolidation was determined by X-ray CT in 1, 2 and 4 months after surgery. As a result we received significant difference on the results of studies that testified to the stimulating effect of hydroxyapatite in the process of consolidation of fractures
