Hard X-ray laue monochromator
Experimental studies of X-ray diffraction from reflecting atomic planes (1011) of X-cut quartz single crystal in Laue geometry influenced by the temperature gradient were carried out. It is shown that by using the temperature gradient it is possible to reflect a hard Xray beam with photon energy near the 100 keV with high efficiency. It has been experimentally proved that the intensity of the reflected beam can be increased by more than order depending on the value of the temperature gradient
Phase transitions and entanglement properties in spin-1 Heisenberg clusters with single-ion anisotropy
The incipient quantum phase transitions of relevance to nonzero fluctuations
and entanglement in Heisenberg clusters are studied in this paper by exploiting
negativity as a measure in bipartite and frustrated spin-1 anisotropic
Heisenberg clusters with bilinear-biquadratic exchange, single-ion anisotropy
and magnetic field. Using the exact diagonalization technique, it is shown that
quantum critical points signaled by qualitative changes in behavior of
magnetization and particle number are ultimately related to microscopic
entanglement and collective excitations. The plateaus and peaks in spin and
particle susceptibilities define the conditions for a high/low-density quantum
entanglement and various ordered phases with different spin (particle)
concentrations
Magnetic properties and concurrence for fluid 3He on kagome lattice
We present the results of magnetic properties and entanglement for kagome
lattice using Heisenberg model with two-, and three-site exchange interactions
in strong magnetic field. Kagome lattice correspond to the third layer of fluid
3He absorbed on the surface of graphite. The magnetic properties and
concurrence as a measure of pairwise thermal entanglement are studied by means
of variational mean-field like treatment based on Gibbs-Bogoliubov inequality.
The system exhibits different magnetic behaviors, depending on the values of
the exchange parameters (J2, J3). We have obtained the magnetization plateaus
at low temperatures. The central theme of the paper is the comparing the
entanglement and magnetic behavior for kagome lattice. We have found that in
the antiferromagnetic region behaviour of the concurrence coincides with the
magnetization one.Comment: Physics of Atomic Nuclei (accepted for publication) 201
ICT COMPETENCE STANDARDS FOR HIGHER EDUCATORS AND QUALITY ASSURANCE IN EDUCATION
The article studies ways to improve quality of Higher Education in Ukraine regarding the standards in the European Higher Education area. There is examined the influence of ICT on education trends. It is considered an interdependence between the quality of educational environment in Higher School and the ICT Competence of its educators. The model of ICT Competence standards for teaching staff is taken from experience by Borys Grinchenko University in Kyiv. There are analyzed the tools for monitoring a formation of teachers’ ICT Competence
Transparency of Information about the CSTO Collective Security Regions in the Context of Hybrid Warfare and Cognitive Security
The article is devoted to the analysis and criticism of the cognitive role of the information and analytical potential of the CSTO in the conditions of hybrid pressure from the actors of the Eurasian arc of instability [5, p. 62]. The object and subject of the study considered, respectively, the information content of the Organization’s website and published data on collective security regions.Aim. To substantiate the need for finding new ways to interact with the target audience, as well as the transition from the reactive principle of crisis response to a system for preventing and resolving crisis situations based on a scientific approach and advanced information technologies.Tasks. To reveal the importance of transparency of current data on the boundaries and regions of collective security of the CSTO cognitive security in conditions of escalation and psychological pressure from the outside. Propose a new direction for the development of the official websites of the Organization.Methods. The study was carried out from the perspective of a civilizational and historical approach, systemic and critical analysis.Results. An original interpretation of the cognitive role and inclusiveness of publicly available data published on the website of an international security organization is presented.Conclusions. The multifactorial scientific search for reliable information and the public availability of information on the issues of the regions and borders of the CSTO is acquiring increasing theoretical and practical importance. It is advisable to consider the situation on the borders and in the regions of collective security of the CSTO through the prism of spatial-geographical, military-political and socioeconomic factors. Activating the cognitive role, transparency and inclusiveness of published open information about the activities of the CSTO are promising ways to build up the Organization’s potential in a hybrid war

Spin-orbit coupling, electron transport and pairing instabilities in two-dimensional square structures
Rashba spin-orbit effects and electron correlations in the two-dimensional cylindrical lattices of square geometries are assessed using mesoscopic two-, three- and four-leg ladder structures. Here the electron transport properties are systematically calculated by including the spin-orbit coupling in tight binding and Hubbard models threaded by a magnetic flux. These results highlight important aspects of possible symmetry breaking mechanisms in square ladder geometries driven by the combined effect of a magnetic gauge field spin-orbit interaction and temperature. The observed persistent current, spin and charge polarizations in the presence of spin-orbit coupling are driven by separation of electron and hole charges and opposite spins in real-space. The modeled spin-flip processes on the pairing mechanism induced by the spin-orbit coupling in assembled nanostructures (as arrays of clusters) engineered in various two-dimensional multi-leg structures provide an ideal playground for understanding spatial charge and spin density inhomogeneities leading to electron pairing and spontaneous phase separation instabilities in unconventional superconductors. Such studies also fall under the scope of current challenging problems in superconductivity and magnetism, topological insulators and spin dependent transport associated with numerous interfaces and heterostructures
