External and middle ear vascular tumors treatment features

    No full text
Main problems, witch ENT-doctors usually are faced with during external ear vascular tumor and middle ear chemoectoma surgical treatment (inta- and postoperative hemorrhage, tumor relapse and others) are considered in this article. Different methods of hemangioma and chemodectoma treatment and combinations of treatment are analyzed. Indications and methods of Ā«TahoCombĀ» and Ā«Fibro-VeinĀ» application are devised and learned. Different methods combination in therapeutic modality decreases intraoperative bleeding, further much more complete tumor removal, earlier tampon elimination from postoperative cavity, fast epitelisation of postoperative cavity\wound (surgical method of treatment in combination with fibrinocollagen complex Ā«TahoCombĀ» application), tumor rests regression, and also suppress tmurs peripheral segments growth (surgical method of treatment in combination with fibrinocollagen complex Ā«TahoCombĀ» application and sclerotherapy with Ā«Fibro-VeinĀ»

The article presents the results of investigation on detection of criterions of cell changing in inverted papilloma and carcinoma of the nasal cavity mucose and paranasal sinuses. Proliferative process in different layers of nasal cavity mucose and paranasal sinuses was examined by immunohistochemical method. It was established that the most important for diagnosis of inverted papilloma is proportion of cells in basal and parabasall layers. Carcinoma is characterized by distribution of positive painted cells from the basal membrane to the central zone of tumors

Diprospan (betametason disodium phosphate plus betametason dipropionat) endonasal injection efficiency rating was carried out. Diprospan postoperative endonasal injection methodolody is described. In this research we compared nasal mucosa renewal in two patient groups. At first group (25 patients) we used endonasal Diprospan injection after operation, in second group (25 patients) - we didn't. Postoperative Diprospan endonasal injection makes mucosa recovery process faster

Significance of the focal brain lesion in development of vestibular and acoustical disturbances in patients with multiple sclerosis

We have examined 72 patients aged from 18 till 62 with cerebral and cerebrospinal multiple sclerosis (MS) form. All patients have been underwent Š¾toneurologiс examination, electronystagmography (ENG), caloric tests, pure-tone audiometry, high frequency audiometry up to 20 kHz, impedance audiometry, auditory brainstem responses (ABR), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). 59 patients had pathologically changed in MRI demyelination lesion in the brainstem. Demyelinization of the brainstem affects acoustical and vestibular function in patients with multiple sclerosis. Pathological changes of pure-tone audiometry, high frequency audiometry, acoustic reflexes and ABR may be regarded as subclinical signs of demyelinization of the cochleovestibular analyzer
