Gravitational uncertainties from dimension-six operators on supersymmetric GUT predictions

We consider the gravity induced dimension six terms in addition to the dimension five terms in the SUSY GUT Lagrangian and find that the prediction for αs\alpha_s may be washed out completely in supersymmetric grand unified theories unless the triplet higgs mass is smaller than 7×1016 7\times 10^{16} GeV.Comment: 7 pages, latex.Title of original version changed, text added and a figure has been added.Figure is available on request. To appear as a brief Report in Phys.Rev.

Implications of supersymmetric SU(15) grand unification

    No full text
We consider the supersymmetric version of the grand unification scheme based on SU(15). We apply the constraints on the coupling constants form the LEP data and require the coupling constants to be less than one. We find that the nice feature of low energy unification is lost in the supersymmetric framework, implying that any signal of supersymmety will rule out the possibility of low energy unification

Hydrogen-antihydrogen oscillations: signature of intermediate mass scales in GUTs

    No full text
Hydrogen-antihydrogen oscillations and the double nucleon decay (pp, np and nn) into two antileptons are discussed in the context of SO(10), E(6) and SU(16) GUTs. It is shown that the intermediate mass scales of the GUTs concerned govern the amplitude of these processes which are found to compete with the other baryon nonconserving processes in SU(16) GUT
