    Upgrading Thai Folk-Designed Rehabilitative Devices for Children with Cerebral Palsy: A Systematic Approach

    Assistive devices born of indigenous inventiveness possess great potential for systematic refinement through the use of modern design technologies. This paper presents a product development process that began with the selection of suitable folk-designed devices for incorporating into a single new product – an integrated assistive device for children afflicted with cerebral palsy. The process then followed the procedures given by the Sensuous Association Method (SAM) and the Theory of Inventive Problem Solving (TRIZ) to arrive at an optimal design. The finished product incorporates functions for rehabilitating five neuro-motor skills of the afflicted children. After six months of field testing with a sample of nine users, the new product was found to deliver statistically significant benefits to the trial users, i.e. overall strengthening of their gross motor functions.     The objectives of this experimental-based research were to 1) develop a mobile application to enhance English pronunciation skill with Flipped Classroom Technique for 3rd Grade Students, 2) evaluate the efficiency of the developed mobile application, 3) compare students’ learning achievement after learning with the mobile application with Flipped classroom techniques, and 4) evaluate students’ satisfaction after learning with the mobile application. The mobile application used voice recognition and Text-to-Speech to enhance the pronunciation skill and made students able to audibly interact with the application. Forty 3rd grade students were randomly selected as samples in the experiment. Tools used in the research consisted of (1) experimental tool, which was the mobile application approved by 5 experts, and (2) data collection tools, including pretest, pronunciation skill score sheet, posttest, and satisfactory evaluation form. The results showed that 1) the mobile application to enhance English pronunciation skill, able to interact with students by showing correct pronunciation and processing students’ voice, passed the expert evaluation with a very good level (XĖ… = 4.67, S.D. = 0.50). 2) the efficiency of the developed mobile application system was 86.20/82.14, which was higher than the predefined criteria. 3) posttest’s result showed that students improved their skill significantly at the statistically significant level of .05. and 4) students satisfied the mobile application to enhance English skill at a highest level (XĖ… = 4.71, S.D. = 0.44)

    This research presents the result of evaluation and comparison of the efficiency of data classification in learning support factors of tertiary level students in a virtual learning environment. Three primary techniques were compared in this research, including Decision Tree technique, k-NN technique, and Naive Bayes technique. The were 8 attributes with 32,950 datasets of the data which were included student registration and the learning outcome of the students who interactively learned in a virtual learning environment. The data was divided into 2 parts by Split Test method. The first part which was comprised of 26,360 datasets (approximately 80 percent of the total data) was used to generate a model while the second part which was included 6,590 datasets (approximately 20 percent of the total data) was utilized to examine the precision and accuracy of the model. The results revealed that the most efficient technique, used to classify the learning factors of the tertiary students in a virtual learning environment, was k-NN technique (k = 3) with 97.87 percent of precision, 97.90 percent of recall, 97.93 percent of accuracy, and 0.352 F-measure

    The purposes of this research were 1) to develop of teachers’ competencies in educational information technology. 2) to study of learning management based on knowledge sharing for enhancing teachers’ competencies in educational information technology. And 3) To study the effects of the learning outcome through the learning management based on knowledge sharing with the sample of teachers teaching at all levels and all subjects at least 1 year in Lampang province. According to the results found, 1) the teachers’ competencies in educational information technology consist of 4 units of competency and 13 Elements of competency. 2) The learning management based on knowledge sharing for enhancing teachers’ competencies in educational information technology consists of three components : First element is input include : teachers’ competencies in educational information technology, competency-based learning module, key content of competency, competency-based objective, competency-based learning measurements and assessment, factors enhancing exchange of learning and sharing, roles of learner and roles and influence of teacher. Second element is divided into two parts were : The first part was exchange of learning and sharing management system. The second part was learning and sharing steps. Third element is Output which is described as knowledge and skills based on teachers’ competencies in educational information technology.     The aims of this experimental research were 1) to develop an effective demonstration-based computer assisted instruction on SQL language, database management course for teaching and learning through competency-based teaching plan integrating problem-based learning process, 2) to implement the teaching and learning through competency-based teaching plan integrating problem-based learning process and demonstration-based computer-assisted instruction on SQL language, database management course. Forty sophomores, who were studying in computer education program, Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University in the first semester of academic year 2016 were targeted participants of this study. The instruments in the study consisted of 1) experimental instruments, including a competency-based teaching plan, computer-assisted lessons on SQL language, data management course, which was approved by 3 experts in terms of appropriate and content accuracy and 2) data collection instruments, which were composed of evaluation forms for the effectiveness of the teaching and learning through competency-based teaching plan integrating problem-based learning process and effective demonstration-based computer-assisted instruction, pretest, posttest, activity scoring sheets, and a satisfactory survey. With statistical analyses of gathered data, the finding of the study showed that the average IOC score of the teaching and learning through competency-based teaching plan integrating problem-based learning process and computer-assisted instruction was highly positive (XĖ… = 4.86, S.D. = 0.23). The effective score of a computer-assisted instruction was 87.80/85.60 which were higher than the expected criterion. The students’ learning outcomes after learning through the computer-assisted instruction was significantly higher at .05 level. The students’ satisfaction towards the computer-assisted instruction on SQL language, data management course was highly positive (XĖ… = 4.95, S.D. = 0.53).
