A Study on Principal Component Analysis over Wireless Channel

    Get PDF
Applications in many fields such as the internet of things (IoT), stock market, image compression, food adulteration, wireless physical layer key generation, etc. are becoming progressively complex due to a large number of users and increment in their usage. Data obtained by these applications are in huge amount creating a high computational cost. Further, it is difficult to handle and analyze it. To deal with such problems, dimensionality reduction techniques are used and one of the dimensionality reduction techniques is the Principal Component Analysis (PCA). In this paper, PCA is applied over a wireless Rician channel with AWGN at different SNR. It is concluded that the information content is more in less number of principal components with samples at higher SNR. It is also observed that the different combinations of several groups and elements in the sample space provide a different cumulative percentage of information

SWOT Analysis of the Role of Open Educational Resources in Future Education with Special Reference to Open University Library and Librarian

Recent years have seen an immense increase in the digitization of research libraries and institutions especially of higher educational Institutes as well as higher learning. The reason for the same witnessed are E-Learning allows for more efficient learning at a lower cost, as well as expanded worldwide access to learning and explicit accountability for all participants in the learning process. The usage of Open Educational Resources (OER) in modern Indian higher education is playing an increasingly important role in improving the quality of education in both developed and developing nations. The goal of OER is to make this information freely available, therefore increasing educational possibilities for previously underserved groups of society and thereby equalizing access. The study addresses the advantages, disadvantages, and prospects of OER in India. Librarians work in a wide range of disciplines. By framing OER they are critics of open educational commons. It also discusses the difficulties that have arisen as a result of the progress of OERs in India, as well as the recommendations that have been made to solve these concerns

FORMULATION AND EVALUATAION OF COLON TARGETED MATRIX TABLET OF NAPROXEN

Objectives: The objective of the present study is to formulate the Colon targeted delivery containing Naproxen for chronopharmaceutical drug delivery system (ChrDDS) for treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, which are influenced by circadian rhythm. Chronopharmaceutical drug delivery system is capable of delivering drug when and where drug required most. Naproxen would remain in the GIT Fluid, intestinal fluid and it will liberate only in colonic fluid and gives better absorption. Methods: The matrix core tablets of Naproxen were prepared by direct compression method by using Crosspovidone as superdisintegrant. From those optimesd batch core tablet is further going for coating. Coating was carried out by using natural gums like Xanthan gum, Guar gum, Chitosan and Pectin alone and in combination. Results: From the experimental work Crosspovidone shows good drug release. Coating done by combination of Xanthan Gum and Chitosan shows better drug release (98.24%) in sustained release manner than other natural gums like Guar gum and pectin. Conclusion: From the results obtained, it was concluded that the programmable Chronopharmaceutical drug release has been achieved from Crosspovidone containing core tablet compressed coated by combination of Xanthan gum and Chitosan over a 10 hrs period, consistent with the demands of chronotherapeutic drug delivery for rheumatoid arthritis

The objective of this work was to prepare and evaluate oral sustained release matrix tablet of Nateglinide and to study the effect of proportion of wax and addition of release liner on in-vitro release of drug. The prepared tablets were evaluated for pre and post compression parameters. Stability study of the promising formulation was also performed. The matrix tablets were prepared by Direct compression, Co-processed & melt granulation, method using wax in concentration 25%, 35% & 45% and evaluated for on in-vitro drug release using Compritol & Precirol. No interactions were found between drug and excipients. Formulation containing 25% Precirol F13 shows releases up to 12 hours. Tablets with release characteristics offers critical advantages such as site specificity with improved absorption and efficacy etc. Keywords: Nateglinide, Sustained release, Compritol 888, Precirol ATO 5, Melt Granulation, Direct compression

Induced magnetism in transition metal intercalated graphitic systems

We investigate the structure, chemical bonding, electronic properties, and magnetic behavior of a three-dimensional graphitic network in aba and aaa stacking with intercalated transition metal atoms (Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, and Cu). Using density functional theory, we find induced spin-polarization of the C atoms both when the graphene sheets are aba stacked (forming graphite) and aaa stacked (resembling bi-layer graphene). The magnetic moment induced by Mn, Fe, and Co turns out to vary from 1.38 {\mu}B to 4.10 {\mu}B, whereas intercalation of Ni and Cu does not lead to a magnetic state. The selective induction of spin-polarization can be utilized in spintronic and nanoelectronic applications.Comment: 13 pages, 3 figures, 1 tabl

Low Complexity Security Algorithm for CPS / IoT Networks

    Get PDF
Due to its noisy nature, wireless channel plays a dominant role in deciding the performance of data communication between the smart objects in the cyberphysical systems (CPS) or the internet of things (IoT). Open and heterogeneous nature of these networks makes them susceptible to vulnerable attacks. So, to keep up the confidentiality and integrity of the transmitted data against the adversaries, it should be secured before transmission. However, issues such as power efficiency, low computational complexity need to be considered when designing security algorithms for CPS/IoT networks. Traditional encryption algorithms, such as Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), International Data Encryption Algorithm (IDEA) can be used for security purpose, but they do not satisfy power and complexity criteria as per CPS/IOT networks requirements. Moreover, they exhibit poor bit error ratio (BER) performance in a noisy wireless channel. This paper presents a modified security algorithm, AES-P, with X-OR mapping on AES to make them suitable for CPS/IoT applications. Simulation and analysis of the proposed algorithm showed that its power consumption and complexity are reduced as compared to traditional AES. It also performed better in the wireless channel, while maintaining the required security level satisfied by Avalanche effect
