Electronic and magnetic properties of [Fe(3-MeO-Qsal)2]y•n solvent (n = 0,1) complexes

© Kazan Federal University (KFU).[Fe(3-MeO-Qsal)2]Y (Y = PF6, BF4, NCS, NO3, BPh4) compounds were synthesized using the diffusion method and studied by the electron spin resonance and the magnetic susceptibility methods in the temperature range (5-300) K. Coexistence of spatially separated high-spin and low-spin fractions in these compounds was observed. Low-spin fraction of all compounds reveals the antiferromagnetic correlations at low temperatures. High-spin fraction of complexes with Y = PF6 demonstrate the weak ferromagnetic properties due to exchange interaction between complexes in whole temperature range. Influence of outer-sphere anion on the spin state, the electronic properties of low-spin Fe(III) complexes is demonstrated

    Specific features of spin-variable properties of [Fe(acen)pic2]BPh4 · nH2O

© 2016, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. The [Fe(acen)pic2]BPh4 · nH2O compound has been synthesized and studied in the temperature interval of 5–300 K by the methods of EPR and magnetic susceptibility. The existence of ferromagnetic interactions between Fe(III) complexes in this compound has been revealed, in contrast to unhydrated [Fe(acen)pic2]BPh4. The reduction in the integrated intensity of the magnetic resonance signal as the temperature decreases below 80 K has been explained by the transition of high-spin ions to the low-spin state. It has been shown that the phase transition temperature in the presence of intermolecular (ferromagnetic) interactions is lower than that in the case of noninteracting centers

Investigation of transformer oil by nuclear magnetic relaxation and Z-scanning

    Get PDF
GK-grade transformer oil is investigated by methods of nuclear magnetic relaxation and Z-scanning. The size of the heterogeneous structures in the oil increases during its service. The solid-particle content in the liquid phase, however, remains essentially unchanged, and the excess particles precipitate. The feasibility of quantitative determination of the heterogeneous-structure/ liquid ratio in oil samples investigated is discussed. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media New York

© 2016, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.[FeLX2]Y [L = N,N'-ethylenebis(salicylimine) (salen), N,N'-ethylenebis(acetylacetonylimine) (acen), or N,N'-ethylenebis(3-methyloxysalicylimine) (vanen); X = imidazole or N-methylimidazole; Y = BF4, ClO4, or BPh4] compounds have been prepared and studied by means of EPR and magnetic susceptibility measurements at 5–300 K. It has been shown that the different electron-donating properties of acen and salen planar ligands result in different spin states of Fe(III) ions. Intermolecular π-interactions of the outer-sphere BPh4 ion affect the complexes spin state as well

Modern approach to primary cervical cancer screening (literature review)

    Get PDF
The problem of morbidity and mortality from cervical cancer is one of the leading in the world medical practice. Many countries began to reconsider the approach to primary screening for cervical cancer after etiological role of human papillomavirus (HPV) in cervical carcinogenesis was determined. Most studies have shown that the identification of HPV DNA has a high prognostic value and can be used both as a co-testing and a primary test. However, the unwillingness of many women to visit a gynecologist due to subjective reasons makes it difficult to implement programs on prevention of cervical cancer. Women associate their unwillingness with the lack of time, discomfort and sickliness, a feeling of shame and confusion, when performing a vaginal examination. To solve this problem, in recent years, self-sampling systems for HPV-testing were devised. Self-sampling systems for HPV-testing are comparable with taking cervical sampler by a doctor; they increase the participation of women in cervical screening. Countries have a reduction in morbidity and mortality from cervical cancer due to the inclusion of the HPV-test in national screening programs. At present, many countries consider the introduction of self-sampling devices for vaginal content for HPV-testing in cervical screening. HPV-self-sampling has the potential to improve participation in screening programs, to reduce socioeconomic barriers to care and to improve the subjective patient experience

GK transformer oil is studied using the methods of UV and visible spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, small-angle light scattering, scanning electron microscopy, and element analysis. The effect exerted on the optical properties of transformer oil by colloidal, micelle-like, and solid particles formed in oil during its exploitation is investigated. © 2011 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd

    Intermolecular interactions and spin states of complexes [Fe(3-MeO-Qsal)<inf>2</inf>]Y (Y = PF<inf>6</inf>, BF<inf>4</inf>)

© 2017, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.Compounds [Fe(3-MeO-Qsal)2]Y (Y = PF6, BF4) have been prepared by diffusion method and studied in temperature range 5–300 K by EPR and magnetic susceptibility methods. The coexistence of spatially separated high-spin (solvated) and low-spin (unsolvated) fractions in the studied compounds has been established. It has been shown that change in the type of outer-sphere anion leads to change in the character of intermolecular interactions in the high-spin fraction and has no effect on the parameters and character of interactions of paramagnetic centers in the low-spin fraction

PREVALENCE AND CHARACTERISTICS OF INFERTILITY IN YOUNG WOMEN OF REPRODUCTIVE AGE LIVING IN ZABAYKALSKY DISTRICT

We conducted epidemiological research of WHO record for the estimation of prevalence and characteristics of infertility in young women living in Zabaykalsky District. The research included 2932 women of 18-35 years, 731 of them had infertility. Frequency of infertility exceeds 15% critical level, determined by WHO, and reaches 24,9 % (22,3 % - in town, 25,8 % - in countryside). Secondary infertility appears more often that primary one (54,2 % vs 45,8 %). 44,0 % of young infertile women don't plan pregnancy
