The relevance of the use of man-made waste and slags of metallurgical enterprises as a replacement for traditional fillers in concrete mixes has good potential due to producing high strength characteristics and reducing the cost of manufactured building products. The aim of the research is a mathematical formulation of the problem solution of clustering concrete mix recipes using man-made waste and slags of metallurgical enterprises, the criteria are the composition and strength of concrete mix recipes made experimentally. The statistical methods usage of analysis made it possible to determine the measures of the proximity of clusters, to produce clusters with optimal formulations of concrete mixtures

Evaluation of the efficiency of the technological process for the production of building products with fillers from metallurgical slag

The article presents studies related to the practical use of metallurgical slags by Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) “Casting”, Limited Liability Partnership “Kazakhstan Steel Production-steel” in the production of building products. The process of preparation and experiments to determine the strength of control samples, full-scale tests of building products are shown. The relevance of the study lies in the fact that the technological process of production of building products involves technogenic waste that cannot be used in the process of metal production, which makes it possible to improve the ecological background in the region, as well as promising opportunities for obtaining raw materials used as ingredients of concrete mixtures. The presented practical implementation of the automation of the process of adding fillers (technogenic raw materials) in the preparation of a concrete mix allows increasing the efficiency and productivity of the production of building products. The article will be useful to everyone who conducts research in the field of recycling of industrial waste from metallurgy, as well as commercial use

Study of stress-strain state of the roller conveyor

Numerous studies have established that the damage to the lower surface of hot-rolled strips is mainly due to their friction against rollers of mill rollers. In this case, the probability of scoring, scrapes and other mechanical damage increases otherwise severe wear on the surface of the rollers, improper installation and jamming. This also applies fully to the pulling and forming rollers of the coilers. A prerequisite for preventing damage to the surface of hotrolled strips is also the maintenance of a high level technical condition of the mill equipment, which includes inspections of wiring armature bars, roller conveyor rollers and other units for each transshipment, timely replacement and repair of individual parts and assemblies

Theoretical background of the restoring of the crankshaft necks by ferromagnetic materials welding

When developing the technological process of cast iron crankshaft restoring, it is necessary to obtain a martensitic structure in the pad weld in order to ensure the wear resistance needed. To form the martensitic structure the cooling rate after padding must be at least 80 - 90 0°C / s. The helical surface welding does not lead to such a result, so in our research we use the welding according to the width of the shaft neck. We also examined the heat release from the pad weld and its cooling rate. For its implementation, the necessary calculations were made according to a compiled program in the QBASIC language. On the basis of these provisions, the theoretic background is proposed for the possibility of the wide-ringed welding of crankshaft necks, which ensures a minimal change in the structure and geometry of the crankshafts
