Hippocampus detection and calculation of its characteristics in magnetic resonance imaging of the brain

В работе представлен разработанный подход к обнаружению и последующему вычислению параметров гиппокампа, как наиболее информативного объекта мозга для выявлении признаков болезни Альцгеймера, при анализе серии снимков магнитно-резонансного томографа, полученных в саггитальной проекции. Предложены алгоритмы обнаружения ключевых кадров во всей серии, содержащих гиппокамп, и идентификации гиппокампа среди других структур мозга. Рассмотрены вопросы измерения объемных параметров гиппокампа и вычисления его характеристик, служащие основой для инструментаьльного объективного вычисления признаков, характеризующих возможное наличие болезни Альцгеймера. The paper presents a developed approach to the hippocampus detection and subsequent calculation of its parameters, as the most informative object of the brain for Alzheimer's disease signs detecting, while analyzing a images series of a magnetic resonance tomograph obtained in a sagittal projection. Algorithms for detecting key frames in the entire series containing the hippocampus and identifying the hippocampus among other brain structures are proposed. The problems of measuring the volume parameters of the hippocampus and calculating its characteristics are considered, which serve as the basis for instrumental objective calculation of the signs characterizing the possible presence of Alzheimer's disease.Исследование выполнено за счет гранта Российского научного фонда (проект 17-11-01288)
