A privacy preserving online learning framework for medical diagnosis applications
Electronic Health records are an important part of a digital healthcare system. Due to their significance, electronic health records have become a major target for hackers, and hospitals/clinics prefer to keep the records at local sites protected by adequate security measures. This introduces challenges in sharing health records. Sharing health records however, is critical in building an accurate online diagnosis framework. Most local sites have small data sets, and machine learning models developed locally based on small data sets, do not have knowledge about other data sets and learning models used at other sites.
The work in this thesis utilizes the framework of coordinating the blockchain technology and online training mechanism in order to address the concerns of privacy and security in a methodical manner. Specifically, it integrates online learning with a permissioned blockchain network, using transaction metadata to broadcast a part of models while keeping patient health information private. This framework can treat different types of machine learning models using the same distributed dataset. The study also outlines the advantages and drawbacks of using blockchain technology to tackle the privacy-preserving predictive modeling problem and to improve interoperability amongst institutions. This study implements the proposed solutions for skin cancer diagnosis as a representative case and shows promising results in preserving security and providing high detection accuracy. The experimentation was done on ISIC dataset, and the results were 98.57, 99.13, 99.17 and 97,18 in terms of precision, accuracy, F1-score and recall, respectively

EXPECTATIVAS DOS EMPREGADORES E PERCEPÇÕES DOS APRENDIZES SOBRE AS HABILIDADES E CONHECIMENTOS DOS GRADUADOS DE CONTABILIDADE-AUDITORIA NO VIETNÃ
In the context of integration and globalization, the increasing labor market makes recruitment demand increasingly large, requiring quality inputs, especially in popular and necessary industries such as accounting and auditing. The transition from a learning environment to a workplace becomes even more difficult not only for students but also for businesses in the recruitment process. Graduates must identify knowledge and professional skills to be able to meet the requirements of employers. The study aims to explore the gap between employers’ expectations and learners’ perceptions of the knowledge and skills of accounting and auditing graduates. Research using qualitative methods combined with quantitative methods presents the preliminary results of the survey using questionnaires and surveys with 235 students in accounting and auditing at universities of economics and 157 employers in Hanoi, Vietnam. The results from Indenpent-Samples T Test showed that there was a significant gap between the employers’ expectations and the learners’ perceptions, these knowledge and skills need to be improved to ensure that accounting and auditing graduates can complete and meet the requirements of future jobs. Developing Rural Tourism with the Participation of Related Parties in Bac Kan Province
Tourism development policy will pay attention to stakeholders, especially the people, who play an important role. However, in reality, when people participate in rural tourism development, they are not equipped with basic knowledge and skills in managing and serving tourists. Because the benefits between stakeholders are still not clear, the participation of people in rural tourism development is currently only passive. Active participation need to be directed from the Government and local authorities because the concept that rural tourism development is not only about creating economic benefits but also associated with conservation and preservation, together with keeping and promoting cultural - historical values in rural areas

The Impact of Oil Price on the Growth, Inflation, Unemployment and Budget Deficit of Vietnam
In oil exporting countries, especially OPEC members, oil price fluctuation has significant impacts on their economies. Herein, just a drop in the oil price causes directly many adverse effects, such as inflation, falls in economic growth, and increases in unemployment. However with a country which not only exports crude oil but also imports petroleum as Vietnam, it is not easy to determine falling or a rising oil prices is beneficial to the economy. Therefore, this paper aims to carry out a numerical analysis on the influences of oil prices on the macroeconomic variables of Vietnam, including inflation, growth rate, budget deficit and unemployment, during a period from 2000 to 2015. By using a vector auto regression (VAR) model, it is realized that a rise in oil prices would lead to higher inflation and budget deficit in Vietnam while its impacts on the GDP growth and unemployment are unclear.

One-Photon Absorption-Based Direct Laser Writing of Three- Dimensional Photonic Crystals
A simple and low-cost technique called low one-photon absorption (LOPA) direct laser writing (DLW) is demonstrated as an efficient method for structuration of multidimensional submicrostructures. Starting from the diffraction theory of the electromagnetic field distribution of a tightly focused beam, the crucial conditions for LOPA-based DLW are theoretically investigated, and then experimentally demonstrated using a simple optical confocal microscope. Various 1D, 2D, and 3D submicrostructures were successfully fabricated in different materials, such as commercial SU8 photoresist and magnetic nanocomposite. The advantages and drawbacks of this LOPA-based DLW technique were also studied and compared with the conventional two-photon absorption based DLW. Several methods were proposed to overcome the existing problem of the DLW, such as the dose accumulation and shrinkage effect, resulting in uniform structures with a small lattice constant. The LOPA-based DLW technique should be useful for the fabrication of functionalized structures, such as magneto-photonic and plasmon photonic crystals and devices, which could be interesting for numerous applications
Comparative study of the analgesic effects of Bungarus fasciatus snake venom from Vinh Phuc and Tien Giang Provinces of Vietnam
Purpose: To determine the analgesic activity of Bungarus fasciatus venoms and their fractions from two Vietnamese Provinces.
Methods: Male Swiss Albino mice were randomly divided into three groups containing 8 to 10 mice each. Control group was injected subcutaneously with normal saline, standard group received aspirin solution (50 mg/kg) perorally, and study group received a solution of crude venom or isolated fractions in physiological saline. To determine analgesic activity, acetic acid writhing and tail immersion tests were used. The venoms were separated by liquid chromatography and the analgesic activity of the fractions was analyzed.
Results: Both venoms showed analgesic effect in the acetic acid writhing test, but only the venom from Tien Giang showed analgesic effect in the tail immersion test. The bioactive fractions of Vinh Phuc and Tien Giang venoms were significantly different, with most of Vinh Phuc venom fractions being more active (p < 0.05). Thus, 35 min after the injection, the number of writhings decreased from 15 - 16 in the control to 0.85 ± 0.34 for the BF-4VS (Vinh Phuc) fraction compared to 2.67 ± 1.20 (p < 0.05) for the BF-4DT (Thien Giang) fraction. Two proteins with analgesic activity were isolated from Vinh Phuc venom, and one with greater activity matched the known B. fasciatus phospholipase A2.
Conclusion: The analgesic activity of two samples of B. fasciatus venom from two different provinces in Vietnam reveal that their pharmacological profiles differ. The isolates can be explored as leads in the development of new analgesic agents
