Revisiting the Approaches for Exploring Students’ Drive in Japanese Studies

    Get PDF
Japanese Studies undergraduate programs offer students an engaging curriculum that provides a deep understanding of the Japanese language and culture. A degree in Japanese Studies equips students with valuable skills that are relevant in various fields, making it a popular choice worldwide. College students’ motivation is a critical factor in academic success and has been extensively studied in education. The paper aims to review the existing theories related to study motivation, language acquisition, study abroad drives, and motivation, then to consider the approaches and details that we could prioritize for investigating the motivations and drives of students majoring and minoring in Japanese Studies in universities

The objective of the study is to identify the characteristics of school administrators, teachers, and students in the 4.0 educational context. The study used research method from a qualitative perspective, using a basic qualitative research model. The study participants consisted of 10 lecturers selected according to the snowball method. The study data were collected through a semi-structured interview. Content analysis techniques will be used to analyze the data. We hope that the Education 4.0 revolution can be realized in Vietnamese education system. As a result, open access, personal education, idea transformation, digital integration into education, open learning environments, lifelong learning, discovery education, and multidisciplinary education are the main components of educations 4.0. It has been found that the key qualities expected from the students of Education 4.0 are interpersonal skills, technology skills, study skills, and personal style. The main qualities expected from the teachers in educations 4.0 are technology skills, instructional skills, lifelong learning skills, and personal style. Finally, the main qualities expected from school administrators in Education 4.0 are instructional skills, technology skills, learning skills

The Transition in Goods Export Structure in the Northeast Region of Vietnam

    Get PDF
The period 2005-2015 is an important stage in the preparation process of bringing Vietnam to basically become an industrialized country by 2020. The economic development of the Northeast with an open and export-oriented economy requires an important role of export activities in the region's socio-economic development. Although it is affected by the global economic crisis, the export value of the region has increased significantly, the structure of exports over the years has positively changed. In more detailed, the rate of raw goods slightly reduced. However, the restructuring of the region's exports has not made a breakthrough and failed to create a suitable structure of export products and made full use of the region’s advantages and potentials. The slow change of exports structure will lead to resource depletion, ecological imbalance, and poor economic efficiency. Keywords: Structure restructuring, Import and export, Northeast of Vietnam, PRODY, export commodities

Leveraging the Learnable Vertex-Vertex Relationship to Generalize Human Pose and Mesh Reconstruction for In-the-Wild Scenes

We present MeshLeTemp, a powerful method for 3D human pose and mesh reconstruction from a single image. In terms of human body priors encoding, we propose using a learnable template human mesh instead of a constant template as utilized by previous state-of-the-art methods. The proposed learnable template reflects not only vertex-vertex interactions but also the human pose and body shape, being able to adapt to diverse images. We conduct extensive experiments to show the generalizability of our method on unseen scenarios

A new record of congrid eel, Bathycongrus bleekeri (Congridae) from Vietnam

    Get PDF
Three specimens of Bathycongrus bleekeri were collected during the survey in 2015 and 2017. The newly recorded species is described herein, a small, moderately elongate species of Bathycongrus with head and body compressed; vertical fins without black mark; tail slender, attenuated, but not filiform; trunk length 1.2 times greater than head length; teeth small, conical, in about three-four rows on jaws, in a small triangular patch on vomer; 28–29 preanal vertebrae, total of 111–113 vertebrae; 26–28 preanal lateral-line pores. Additional data on the morphology and distribution of the species increases the total number of known species in the family Congridae in Vietnamese waters to twelve

In this work, the structural characteristic and photoluminescence properties of Eu3+^{3 + } doped B2_{2}O3_{3}-TeO2_{2} -ZnO-Na2_{2}O glasses were investigated. These glasses were prepared by a melting method in air, combined with thermal annealing at 350^{\circ}C, 450^{\circ}C and 550^{\circ}C for different duration times. The structural analysis results of these glasses revealed the formation of micro-crystals in the annealed host glass. The photoluminescence spectra of Eu3+^{3 + } doped in these samples were observed. The local vibration mode around Eu3+^{3 + } ions was investigated by the phonon side-band (PSB) associated with 7 ⁣F05D2^{7}\!F_{0}-^{5}D_{2} transition of Eu3+^{3+}. Judd-Ofelt parameters were then evaluated based on photoluminescence spectra and the luminescence intensity ratios of 5D07 ⁣FJ^{5}D_{0} \to ^{7}\!F_{J} (J=2,4J=2, 4 and 6) to 5D07 ⁣F1^{5}D_{0} \to ^{7}\!F_{1} transition were predicted. The obtained results were then used to calculate Ω2,  Ω4,  Ω6\Omega _{2},\;\Omega _{4},\; \Omega _{6} parameters based on Judd-Ofelt theory. These Ω2\Omega _{2}, Ω4\Omega _{4}, Ω6\Omega _{6} parameters allow to derive radiative properties of Eu3+^{3 + } ions in glass material such as transition probabilities, radiative lifetimes and peak stimulated emission cross-section for the 5D07 ⁣FJ^{5}D_{0} \to ^{7}\!F_{J} transitions
