Quality is a concept that has multiple meanings, as it depends on the customers' perception of a product or service, for this reason, is a consumer mind-set that assumes under that product or service and the ability of it to meet their needs. Historical Conflict and Gender Disparities
This paper establishes the detrimental effect of historical conflict on contemporary gender disparities. Such
effects appear to be absent when focusing on female labor participation, revealing that long-run determinants
of women’s positioning do not opperate solely through labor outcomes. Further, a historical compilation
of Mexican conflicts was digitized and geo-referenced to establish the persistence of such results at a
subnational level. Causal estimates are achieved at this level by exploiting exogenous changes introduced
by the Columbian exchange and by long-run reductions in precipitation. Finally, the document examines
gender views of US respondents and of second-generation migrants in Europe to show that culture constiutes
a mechanism through which gender biases emerge and consolidate
Social Cohesion and Carbon Emissions
This paper demonstrates that population diversity and its adverse effect on social cohesion have a robust,
causal, positive effect on the carbon emissions of sufficiently rich economies. An examination of geocoded
data on emissions from fossil fuels reveals that such results holds at a subnational level as well. The documented effect of diversity operates through its impact on mistrust and on heterogeneity in preferences,
which suggests a social dimension that must be contemplated when setting a strategy to curb human’s
carbon footprint
Financial Thought as a Shield: Bogotá’s Stock Exchange and the Financial Ideas during its Foundation and Consolidation
The document uses a historical approach to unveil the political nature of financial ideas generated by functionaries of Bogotá’s Stock Exchange in the years following its foundation. Particularly, it demonstrates how these ideas constituted interpretations that aimed at the consolidation of the entity in a dynamic historical and economic context that posed varying challenges to the institution. The interpretative discourse produced and transmitted by said Stock Exchange constituted an adaptive mechanism, which gradually refined so as to placate both existing and emerging social concerns regarding the role and the effects of an entity of the like

Modular Software Process Simulation Models Through Metamodeling
In this paper we present the main concepts and principles of a multilevel architecture to help in the
development of modularized and reusable software process models under the System Dynamics approach. The
conceptual ideas of the multilevel architecture have been formalized using UML as a notation. Metamodeling is
used to support the process of abstract modules development. The architecture proposed is also based on ISO’s
Information Resource Dictionary System. The principles of the architecture and overall guide to develop
software process simulation models are described in this work.
