    The Flora Croatica (FCD) database records thirty years of continuous work these days. Since the initial limited application, today FCD has been nationally and internationally recognized as the relevant source of verified data on national and regional flora. It is fully web oriented with the strong support of GIS tools in spatial data display and analysis. Users are a wide range of individuals, public institutions, museums, educational system institutions, scientific institutions, and private companies. With numerous interconnected modules, it enables the processing and presentation of various data on flora ā€“ taxonomy, nomenclature, distribution, threat status, use, invasiveness, bibliography, collections, etc. Website monitoring indicates great dynamics of data entry, processing, and use, as well as international cooperation. Further development of FCD and application of modern IT tools in the best possible support to all classes of users is expected, both in quantitative and qualitative terms.Baza podataka Flora Croatica (FCD) bilježi ovih dana trideset godina neprekidnog rada. Od početne ograničene primjene, danas je FCD nacionalno i internacionalno prepoznat kao relevantni izvor provjerenih podataka o nacionalnoj i regionalnoj flori. U cijelosti je web-orijentirana sa snažnom podrÅ”kom GIS alata u prikazu i analizi prostornih podataka. Korisnici su Å”iroka paleta pojedinaca, javne ustanove, muzeji, ustanove obrazovnog sustava, znanstvene ustanove i privatne tvrtke. S brojnim uzajamno povezanim modulima omogućuje obradu i prikaz raznorodnih podataka o flori ā€“ taksonomiju, nomenklaturu, rasprostranjenost, ugroženost, upotrebu, invazivnost, bibliografiju, zbirke i dr. Praćenje prometa ukazuje na veliku dinamiku unosa, obrade i upotrebe podataka, te međunarodnu suradnju. Očekivani je daljni razvoj FCD-a i primjena modernih IT alata u Å”to kvalitetnijoj podrÅ”ci svim klasama korisnika, u kvantitativnom i kvalitativnom pogledu

    Fenotipska varijabilnost lisaka u Thalictrum minus- kompleksu (Ranunculaceae)

    The variability of 8 characters of leaflets in the Thalictrum minus - complex from Yugoslavia is shown with special regard to Thalictrum velebiticum Deg. 1937, and to their possible distinction by use. Data have been processed by classical statistics and a comparison of variation coefficients for each sample and character has been made. These characters show significant variability, a continuity of connection between their extreme values and a low diagnostic value due to considerable overlapping between the samples. The sample representing T. velebiticum shows certain populational characteristics.Prikazana je varijabilnost 8 osobina lisaka na T. minus-kompleksu iz Jugoslavije s osobitim osvrtom na T. velebiticum Deg. 1937, te na mogućnost njihovog razlikovanja upotrebom navedenih osobina. Podaci su obrađeni klasičnom statistikom uz primjenu t i F-testova, a komparirani su i koeficijenti varijabilnosti za svaki uzorak i osobinu. Osobine pokazuju značajnu varijabilnost, a zbog velikog preklapanja među uzorcima i slabu dijagnostičku vrijednost. Uzorak koji reprezentira T. velebiticum pokazuje stanovite populacijske osobitosti

    The samples of flowers were gathered successively seven times during the vegetation season from nine individuals of Thalictrum minus L. s. 1. The carpels i. e. fruits were counted to ascertain the number. The average number of carpels/fruits established per flower before the fruits fell off was 5.1 ā€” 5.6, and the absolute range was 2 ā€” 21. The coefficient of variability during the year, was 31.5 ā€” 46.5. The Kruskal-Wallis test showed significant difference among specimens in the number of carpels/fruits per flower. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test showed that the samples were not normally distributed. Early flowering specimens developed a larger number of carpels then latest flowering specimens. The time of flowering was, possibly, genetically stabilized and showed geographic variability.S devet primjeraka vrste Thalictrum minus L. (s. 1.) sukcesivno je tijekom vegetacijske sezone sedam puta sabiran uzorak cvjetova. Registriran je broj plodnica/plodova. Biljke pokazuju jasne pomake početka cvatnje. Ustanovljen prosječan broj plodnica/plodova po cvijetu prije perioda opadanja plodova (početkom kolovoza) je 5.1 do 5.6 s apsolutnim rasponom od 2 do 21. Koeficijent varijabilnosti tijekom godine kreće se od 31.5 do 46.5%. Testom Kruskal-Wallis pokazano je da se pojedini primjerci signifikantno razlikuju prema broju plodnica/plodova po cvijetu, a testom Kolomogorov-Smirnov ustanovljeno je da uzorci nisu normalno distribuirani. Ranocvatući primjerci razvijaju veći broj plodnica od kasnocvatućih. Vrijeme cvatnje je vjerojatno genetski uvjetovana osobina i pokazuje geografsku varijabilnost

    The diversity of Croatian vascular flora based on the Checklist and CROFlora database

    The recently completed Checklist of Croatian Vascular Flora for the fisl lime endeavours to quantify the national vascular flora. The vascular flora numbers 5.347 taxa in all (4275 species and 1072 subspecies). According to species number per square unit, Croatia takes 3rd place in Europe in floristic richness. The three biggest families are Compositae (742), Fabaceac (458) and Poaceae (448), and the fifteen biggest families contain 77% of all species and subspecies. 447 taxa are considered threatened (8.92%), almost double the number in the last Red list. The 323 endemic taxa were registered in the categories of subendemic, endemic and narrow endemic taxa, and Bykov \u27s index of endemism shows that Croatia has more than the average number of endemic species in a number of European countries. In the best case, for 39% of all the taxa the ecological indices are known. A total of 241 taxonomically or chorologically doubtful taxa have been registered, together with 343 taxa in cultivation, and 120 naturalised taxa. The Checklist contains 7673 invalid names, mostly synonyms, and the database currently 11407
