Dynamic pore collapse in viscoplastic materials
Dynamic pore collapse in porous materials is studied by analyzing the finite deformation of an elastic/viscoplastic spherical shell under impulsive pressure loading. Effects of dynamic loading rate, pore size, initial porosity, strain-i-ate sensitivity, strain hardening, thermal softening, and mass density of the matrix material on the pore collapse process are examined and results are compared with those from quasistatic analyses of both rate-independent and rate-dependent matrix materials. Dynamic (inertia) effects are found to be significant or even dominant in certain shock wave consolidation conditions. An approximate method is proposed to incorporate dynamic effects into quasistatic pore-collapse relations of viscoplastic matrix materials. Implications of results of current study are discussed in terms of understanding the processes of shock wave consolidation of powders
Overbarrier Resonances as Solutions of Set Inhomogeneous Schr\"{o}dinger Equations
In the paper the Schr\"odinger equation for quasibound resonance state with
complex energy is considered. The system of inhomogeneous differential
equations is obtained for the real and imaginary parts of wave function. On the
base of known solution of corresponding homogeneous equation, the inhomogeneus
system is solved with help of iteration procedure. The single-particle neutron

Distributions of Upper PAPR and Lower PAPR of OFDM Signals in Visible Light Communications
Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) in visible light
communications (VLC) inherits the disadvantage of high peak-to-average power
ratio (PAPR) from OFDM in radio frequency (RF) communications. The upper peak
power and lower peak power of real-valued VLC-OFDM signals are both limited by
the dynamic constraints of light emitting diodes (LEDs). The efficiency and
transmitted electrical power are directly related with the upper PAPR (UPAPR)
and lower PAPR (LPAPR) of VLC-OFDM. In this paper, we will derive the
complementary cumulative distribution function (CCDF) of UPAPR and LPAPR, and

Hot temperatures and morbidity : a systematic review and meta–analysis
Extreme temperatures have been shown to have a detrimental effect on health. Hot temperatures can increase the risk of mortality, particularly in people suffering from cardiorespiratory diseases. Given the onset of climate change, it is critical that the impact of temperature on health is understood, so that effective public health strategies can correctly identify vulnerable groups within the population.
