Mi-Go: Test Framework which uses YouTube as Data Source for Evaluating Speech Recognition Models like OpenAI's Whisper
This article introduces Mi-Go, a novel testing framework aimed at evaluating
the performance and adaptability of general-purpose speech recognition machine
learning models across diverse real-world scenarios. The framework leverages
YouTube as a rich and continuously updated data source, accounting for multiple
languages, accents, dialects, speaking styles, and audio quality levels. To
demonstrate the effectiveness of the framework, the Whisper model, developed by
OpenAI, was employed as a test object. The tests involve using a total of 124
YouTube videos to test all Whisper model versions. The results underscore the
utility of YouTube as a valuable testing platform for speech recognition
models, ensuring their robustness, accuracy, and adaptability to diverse
languages and acoustic conditions. Additionally, by contrasting the
machine-generated transcriptions against human-made subtitles, the Mi-Go
framework can help pinpoint potential misuse of YouTube subtitles, like Search

Delayed recovery of kidney function in a multiple myeloma patient treated with high cut-off hemodialysis: A case report
We present a case of a 68-year-old woman with dialysis dependent acute kidney injury secondary to multiple myeloma. The treatment consisted of plasma exchange, 10 sessions of high-cut-off hemodialysis and induction chemotherapy. Free light chain concentration (FLC) was reduced from 1900mg/l to 584mg/l (a 70% reduction). Recovery of kidney function was observed 3 months after hospital admission and discontinuation of dialysis was possible. The case is quite unusual because of the delay in renal recovery
Leczenie nerkozastępcze w ostrym uszkodzeniu nerek
Acute kidney injury is a frequent complication in hospitalized patients and is associated with high mortality. The management of acute kidney injury is supportive with renal replacement therapy but whether to provide continuous renal replacement therapies or intermittent hemodialysis and when to initiate it are unclear. This article reviews the current literature presenting optimal method and timing to start of renal replacement therapy in acute kidney injury
New aspects in the diagnostics of acute kidney injury
Acute kidney injury is a syndrome with a plethora of causes and not fully elucidated pathogenesis. Numerous attempts have been taken for many years to define and reliably diagnose this syndrome. The article is a review of recent advances in the diagnostics of acute kidney injury
Sleep disturbances in chronically dialyzed patients
Pomimo powszechności problemu pozostaje on w dużej mierze niezdiagnozowany oraz nieleczony. Praca ta ma na celu przybliżenie najczęstszych postaci zaburzeń snu, metod diagnostycznych i sposobów leczenia u chorych przewlekle dializowanych.Sleep disturbances are common in chronically dialyzed patients. Poor sleep is associated with fatigue, cognitive impairment, decreased quality of life, obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and increased mortality. Many factors contribute to pathogenesis of sleep disturbances in dialyzed patients e.g. renal replacement therapy, comorbidities and medications. Although the problem is common, it remains largely under-recognized and undertreated. The review describes the most common sleep disturbances, diagnostic approach and the methods of treatment in maintenance dialyzed patients
Extraperitoneal catheter implantation — rare surgical complication. A case report
Prawidłowe wszczepienia cewnika do dializy otrzewnowej gwarantuje jej skuteczność i poprawność. Correct implantation of peritoneal dialysis catheter is crucial to deliver an appropriate treatment with peritoneal dialysis. An experienced surgeon, who is aware that the catheter will be used for many years, should perform catheter implantation. Improper catheter insertion results in complications in the course of peritoneal dialysis therapy
Chorzy trudni nietypowiOstra niewydolność nerek jako nietypowe powikłanie migotania przedsionków
We present a case of a 76-year-old woman with persistent atrial fibrillation, recent diagnosis of ischemic stroke and embolic occlusion of the iliac artery, who was admitted to our department with symptoms of acute renal failure. Using the data from medical history, physical examination, ECG, laboratory tests (urinalysis, LDH in serum and urine) and radiologic studies (color Doppler ultrasound, angio-CT) we diagnosed renal artery embolus and infarct of solitary functioning kidney. We presumed that this complication was related to the inadequate anticoagulation in the course of atrial fibrillation. Patient received intravenous heparin followed by oral warfarin and started renal replacement therapy
