Collection of cover-ground plants and plants for Alpinarians and Rocarians in botanical garden of Belgorod University (Belgorod, Russia)
The authors studied the introduced herbaceous perennials, that were not used previously for landscaping of the region. According to the data presented in the article, recommendations can be given for gardening in various landscape areas, proceeding from the decorative and ecological properties of plants. They identified the perennial ground cover plants unpretentious to the conditions of the urban environment, which can be used in sunny areas, in shades and half-shade
Floral complexes with the involvement of Adonis Vernalis L. (fam. Ranunculaceae juss.) and environmental assessment of the conditions of their formation in the Southwest of Central-Russian Upland
The article presents the results of the study of structures of floral complexes with the involvement of Adonis vernalis L., the number of genera, families and species is indicated. Average points of severity of environmental factors were calculated, allowing assessing the environmental conditions in these ecotopes. Ecobiomorphs of species of the floral complexes in natural and quasi-natural ecotops are determine
Momordica Cochinchinensis (Lour.) Spreng. (Cucurbitaceae) in culture in vitro
Momordica cochinchinensis (Lour.) Spreng. (Cucurbitaceae) belongs to a group of dioecious plants, forming the seeds with a very strong woody seed coat. To study the possibility of clonic micropropagation of M. cochinchinensis plants, the experiments were carried out by the introduction of this type in culture in vitro, and selecting the most appropriate methods of reproduction
The results of introduction of East Asian origin flowering plants in the southwest of Central Russian upland
The article is devoted to the study of the results of introduction of East Asian origin flowering plants, growing in the dendrological collection of Belgorod Botanical Garden. The most important ecological and biological characteristics of the plants were studied. The estimation of the growth and development nature of introduced species, according to their resistance to the complex of unfavorable factors, was carried ou
Analysis of rare type of plants from botanical graden collection at SRU “Belsu” (Belgorod, Russia)
The aim of the study was the comprehensive analysis of rare plants from the collection fund of the botanical garden at the National Research University “BelSU
Introduction of Maclura Pomifera (RAF.) C.K. Schneid, Moraceae Link families under the conditions of the botanical graden of the NRU “Belsu” (Belgorod, Russia)
The data of long-term studies of the biological features of growth and development of Maclurapomifera (Raf.) C. K. Schneid in the Botanical Garden of the National Research University “BelSU” is given. The phenological type of development of this species, the beginning and end of its growing season is determined. Winter hardiness, drought resistance, resistance to diseases and pests are assessed to determine the degree of adaptation of the species to local conditions. For the first time, flowering and fruiting of Maclurapomifera were noted in the conditions of the Belgorod region. Based on the adaptation coefficient, recommendations are given on the use of Maclurapomifera in gardening in the Belgorod Regio
Solanum retroflexum Fruits: A Rich Source of Anthocyanins
The aim of a present paper is an estimation of the plant fruits as a source of anthocyanins for encapsulation in natural polymers matrix by spray drying metho
Comparative analysis of types of plants-transformers in various regions of Central Russia
In this study the results of a comparative analysis of transformer species in nine different regions of Central Russia by life forms of I.G. Serebryakov (1962) and geographical origin of species are presented. Among the invasive and potentially invasive species of the compared regions, there are no common species that are transformers in all 9 regions simultaneously. However, there is a group of plants-transformers, which are represented in 8 of 9 area
Rose Flower Petals: Rich Source of Anthocyanins
Dried flower petals of "Tornado" floribunda rose cultivar are a highly abandoned source of anthocyanins with more than 4.0 g of anthocyanins per 100 g of the dryed plant material. The main components of the "Tornado" flower anthocyanin composition were found to be 3,5 -diglucosides of cyanidin (80.9 %) and peonidin (13.9 %
In vitro clonal micropropagation of Aronia L. varieties from the collection of the botanic garden of the National Research University “BelSU” (Belgorod, Russia)
Studying the characteristics of in vitro cultivation of species and varieties of Aronia made it possible to determine the optimal conditions for sterilizing plants, the composition of the medium for propagation and rhizogenesis of explants. Adaptation plant varieties of Aronia obtained using the developed media and cultivation regimes is characterized by a high survival rate (97-99%) under unsterile conditions, which makes them potential objects for mass replication by clonal micropropagatio
