Architecture Parallel for the Renewable Energy System

    Get PDF
This chapter present one possible evolution is the parallel topology on the high-voltage bus for the renewable energy system. The system is not connected to a chain of photovoltaic (PV) modules and the different sources renewable. This evolution retains all the advantages of this system, while increasing the level of discretization of the Maximum Power Point Tracker (MPPT). So it is no longer a chain of PV modules that works at its MPPT but each PV module. In addition, this greater discretization allows a finer control and monitoring of operation and a faster detection of defects. The main interest of parallel step-up voltage systems, in this case, lies in the fact that the use of relatively high DC voltages is possible in these architectures distributed

VNHSGE: VietNamese High School Graduation Examination Dataset for Large Language Models

The VNHSGE (VietNamese High School Graduation Examination) dataset, developed exclusively for evaluating large language models (LLMs), is introduced in this article. The dataset, which covers nine subjects, was generated from the Vietnamese National High School Graduation Examination and comparable tests. 300 literary essays have been included, and there are over 19,000 multiple-choice questions on a range of topics. The dataset assesses LLMs in multitasking situations such as question answering, text generation, reading comprehension, visual question answering, and more by including both textual data and accompanying images. Using ChatGPT and BingChat, we evaluated LLMs on the VNHSGE dataset and contrasted their performance with that of Vietnamese students to see how well they performed. The results show that ChatGPT and BingChat both perform at a human level in a number of areas, including literature, English, history, geography, and civics education. They still have space to grow, though, especially in the areas of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology. The VNHSGE dataset seeks to provide an adequate benchmark for assessing the abilities of LLMs with its wide-ranging coverage and variety of activities. We intend to promote future developments in the creation of LLMs by making this dataset available to the scientific community, especially in resolving LLMs' limits in disciplines involving mathematics and the natural sciences.Comment: 74 pages, 44 figure

Multidrug resistance plasmids underlie clonal expansions and international spread of Salmonella enterica serotype 1,4,[5],12:i:- ST34 in Southeast Asia

Salmonella enterica serotype 1,4,[5],12:i:- (Typhimurium monophasic variant) of sequence type (ST) 34 has emerged as the predominant pandemic genotype in recent decades. Despite increasing reports of resistance to antimicrobials in Southeast Asia, Salmonella ST34 population structure and evolution remained understudied in the region. Here we performed detailed genomic investigations on 454 ST34 genomes collected from Vietnam and diverse geographical sources to elucidate the pathogen’s epidemiology, evolution and antimicrobial resistance. We showed that ST34 has been introduced into Vietnam in at least nine occasions since 2000, forming five co-circulating major clones responsible for paediatric diarrhoea and bloodstream infection. Most expansion events were associated with acquisitions of large multidrug resistance plasmids of IncHI2 or IncA/C2. Particularly, the self-conjugative IncA/C2 pST34VN2 (co-transferring blaCTX-M-55, mcr-3.1, and qnrS1) underlies local expansion and intercontinental spread in two separate ST34 clones. At the global scale, Southeast Asia was identified as a potential hub for the emergence and dissemination of multidrug resistant Salmonella ST34, and mutation analysis suggests of selection in antimicrobial responses and key virulence factors

Hypereosinophilic vasculitis with Raynaud phenomenon presentation: a case report

Abstract Background Previous case series have reported idiopathic eosinophilic vasculitis as a potential manifestation of hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES). This condition is characterized by digital necrotizing, systemic vasculitis that affects varying-sized blood vessels. This report presents our experience in treating a patient with eosinophilic vasculitis. Case presentation We describe the case of a 23-year-old man who presented with idiopathic HES, which manifested as digital ulcers and peripheral ischemia in both the upper and lower limbs, without the involvement of other organ systems. After ruling out primary and secondary causes of eosinophilia, a diagnosis of HES was established. Our patient has shown a positive response to corticosteroid therapy. Conclusions Our case contributes to the existing evidence about diagnosing idiopathic eosinophilic vasculitis in patients with HES. We observed a favorable response to corticosteroid treatment in our patient

Fuzzy Inference System for Mobility Prediction to Control HELLO Broadcasting in MANET

HELLO messages are used in many routing protocols in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANET) for updating the neighbour information as well as the changes of network topology. However, periodically broadcasting HELLO messages in a fixed interval wastes of a lot of energy and generates the huge amount of redundant control packets across MANET if network mobility is low. In contrast, the frequency of sending HELLO messages will not quickly enough keep track the change of neighbours if network mobility is high. To solve that problem, this paper introduces a Fuzzy Inference System (FIS) for controlling HELLO frequency based on the prediction of nodes’ mobility. The model helps to reduce the redundant HELLO messages while still ensuring to properly check neighbours and network topology. It is observed that energy consumption of the network saves 5 mW over 100 s (18 mW over 1 h) compared to that of the conventional HELLO broadcasting scheme

Facile synthesis of bismuth terephthalate metal–organic frameworks and their visible-light-driven photocatalytic activities toward Rhodamine B dye

In this work, the bismuth-terephthalate frameworks (Bi-BDC) were prepared by a facile solvothermal approach. The prepared Bi-BDC MOFs were characterized by XRD, TGA, FT-IR, SEM, and UV-vis DRS analyses. The results indicated that the synthesis temperature affected the crystallinity and morphologies of the Bi-BDC frameworks. Notably, the produced Bi-BDC at low temperatures (80 and 100 oC) exhibited enhanced light absorption ability. The photodegradation experiment of rhodamine (RhB) showed that the prepared Bi-BDC-100 sample had the highest removal efficiency of ca. ∼ 98% after 270 min of visible LED light illumination. In addition, the HPLC-MS analysis revealed that RhB was photocatalytically degraded over the Bi-BDC via the carboxylation and dealkylation mechanism. Furthermore, the removal efficiency of the organic pollutant was optimized by monitoring the effects of catalyst dosage, dye concentration, and pH media. Finally, cyclic tests implied that the synthesized Bi-BDC MOF had good stability and reusability
