Discriminating weight of Cloud Environment in ERP selection assessment

    Get PDF
Selection of an ERP, based on its incorporated component parameters, is a significant problem for an industry. A more comprehensive structure of an ERP is a three tier ERP. A cloud database is a cloud computing service. Database has scalability, and makes underlying virtual machine instances to run a database on such virtual machines. Cloud databases which are relational as opposed to non relational or No SQL databases, imply that SQL databases can run in the cloud with a virtual machine or as a service. Cloud computing architecture is a set of components and subcomponents required for cloud computing. A front end platform set like fat client, thin client, mobile device, Back end platforms like servers, storage, a cloud based delivery, A network such as internet, intranet, Inter cloud connectivity setup are a combined blend that together make a Cloud framework. The paper aims to discriminate availing an ERP in Cloud or Non Cloud framework mode and analyzing pros and cons in both modes

Objective: The objective of the following study was a synthesis of nanocrystalline tetragonal zirconia (ZrO2) using simple sol–gel method and evaluation of its structural and biological properties. Methods: The sample was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM), Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and evaluated for cell growth study using 3T3 mouse fibroblast cells and for degradation using Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS) solution. The synthesized materials were also evaluated for their antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli (E. coli) and Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) bacterial strains. Results: The XRD pattern shows that the tetragonal phase of nanocrystalline zirconia was obtained at relatively low temperature i.e. 300 °C. The FESEM images showed that the prepared sample consists of particles in the range of 35-69 nm and homogenous particle size distribution. The TEM images confirmed the results shown by FESEM images. The sample of zirconia has excellent tissue biocompatibility, higher cell growth and does not show the toxicity towards normal 3T3 mouse fibroblast cells. The result of qualitative antibacterial tests revealed that the nanocrystalline zirconia had an important inhibitory activity on E. coli and S. aureus. The sample shows stability at the physiological condition and does not show degradation. Conclusion: Nanocrystalline tetragonal zirconia shows higher cell growth and efficient antibacterial activity against E. coli and S. aureus bacterial pathogen and also it is stable at the physiological condition. Hence, it can be used for various biomedical applications. Keywords: Nanocrystalline zirconia, Sol-gel route, Antimicrobial action, Biomedical applicatio

Present paper relates to nanomaterials based decontamination formulation made up of TiO2, MgO, and ZnO nanoparticles for the use against chemical warfare agents. This decontamination formulation was prepared by mixing 90 per cent of TiO2 nanoparticles of 5-15 nm size range, 8 per cent of MgO nanoparticles of 5-15 nm size range, and 2 per cent of ZnO nanoparticles of 20-30 nm size range. Prepared formulation exhibited 98-99 per cent of physical removal efficiency against contaminated glass, rubber, painted metal, metal surfaces. It efficiently removed chemical warfare agents from contaminated skin thus ameliorating chances of fatality which is expected due to skin penetrated chemical warfare agents. It also chemically degraded 97 per cent of sulphur mustard in 24 h, 99.9 per cent of sarin in 2 h, respectively unlike Fuller’s earth which chemically degraded only 63 per cent of sulphur mustard and 59 per cent of sarin in 24 h

ABSTRACT Huge amount of video data is being generated every day, with enormous growth of security and surveillance system. It is immensely challengeable for researcher to search and retrieve accurate human face of interest from video with utmost speed. The proposed work is stimulated from the same concern. It would be the future demand for searching, browsing, and retrieving human face of interest from video database for several applications. This paper proposes the novel algorithm for human face retrieval from video database based on holistic approach. The Viola and Jones frontal face detector detect the face region. The next stage is face extraction which have input for grouping individual faces. The individual group of faces has converted into single normalized mean face using PCA. The final face group contains single face for each person occurred in video. After the pre-processing of normalized faces, recognition is performed on the basis of query face image

Effect of hydropriming on germination and seedling vigor of pigeonpea [Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.]

The effect of hydropriming on germination and seedling vigor of pigeonpea was studied on four hybrids and six inbred lines at the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), Patancheru, Andhra Pradesh, India. Seeds of each genotype were soaked in distilled water at room temperature (25°C) for two, four, and six hours. Non-primed seeds were used as a control. Research revealed that the length of hydropriming had a significant effect on number of seedlings germinated in day three, days to 60% germination, plumule length on day eight, and the radicle length on day twenty. Hydropriming seeds for four hours led to faster germination and longer plumule (cm) and radicle lengths (cm). Soil type also significantly affected seedling growth, with larger seedlings growing in Alfisols (16.5 cm plumule, 11.9 cm radicle) as compared to Vertisols (14.6 cm plumule, 10.3 cm radicle). Highest seedling vigor index was exhibited in control (2693.79) with four hours soaking (2660.35) treatment. The results of this study showed that pigeonpea can be hydroprimed for four hours to induce faster germination. Hydropriming for four hours can be recommended in rainfed pigeonpea areas where there is lack of sufficient moisture in the soil as it maintain seedling vigor due to longer radicle length and probably expresses for high drought tolerance while over priming for six hours reduced germination rate and detrimental to seedling

Response of germination to seed size and color of pigeonpea [Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.]

The effect of large and small seed size and color of pigeonpea on germination was studied on six hybrids and twelve inbred lines at the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), Patancheru, Andhra Pradesh, India. Seeds of each genotype were segregated into large and small seed classes according to their 100-seed weight (g). Experiment revealed that seed size had an effect on rate of germination up to seven days after sowing. In addition, seed color significantly affected germination of pigeonpea in day second and day third. Although there was a mixed response among individual genotypes, large seeds germinated significantly earlier in ICEAP 000040-1, ICP 11811, ICP 13395, and ICP 7035. However, germination percentage of small seeds among the other genotypes was not significantly affected during day eight, indicating uniform performance with the large seeds. The results of this study showed that small seeds can likewise be used as planting material, whereby farmers can gain more seeds per unit weight as compared to large seeds while maintaining the same germination performance. However, the relationship between seed size and germination is complex and differs from species to species and even differs between each cultivar within a species
