    Happiness and Spirituality: An Empirical Analysis using Divine Perspectives in Pakistan

    Happiness is the center of discussion among philosophers, theologians, psychologists and more recently among economists from past few decades. Easterlin (1974) claimed that money alone cannot buy happiness, factors such as social interactions, socio-demographic factors, religion and personal values influence happiness. Abundant literature has been produced onspirituality by philosophers and scholars of different religions, however, spirituality-happiness literature from Islamic point of view and particularly in the case of Muslim society is largely ignored. This study analytically explores and empirically tests the relationship between spirituality and happiness using Divine Economics Framework in case of 5 districts of Azad Kashmir(Pakistan), collected through Divine Economics Survey 2013.     It is often required that the developers working on a single module or software project, while working from remote locations. Scenarios like that increase complexity and challenge to manage releases and to merge their daily work in a single artifact. For component based development, developers are responsible for the merging their own work with others and to make sure the integrations went smooth with no error and problems. Sometimes it’s hard to do this job because of the large size of team members, big project size or geographically separated teams.  Through Continuous integration this whole process becomes lot easier because all the validations and verifications will be done by an automated job.  This job will check for the changes in the project code and whenever a change happens it will run the build process automatically, which detects errors and problems with the code and also notifies the concerned team member who is responsible for this error. This study introduces an approach to setup a Continuous Integrations techniques in a project using open source tools like Maven, Jenkins and Artifactory

    The impact of human capital outsourcing on human capital management practices in Karachi pharmaceutical industry

    Purpose: The aim of this research is to examine relationship between Human Capital Management (HRM) and Human Resource (HR) Outsourcing in the Pharmaceutical sector. The specific objective is to find out that how important is HRM for an Organization to perform its operations more efficiently, and at what level Human Resource Outsourcing is affecting it. Literature review: Literature review shows that HR outsourcing has positive impact on HRM for an Organization to perform its operations more efficiently. Methods: In order to conduct this research the methodology that has been used is quantitative in nature and closed ended Questionnaire was used to collect data. The universe of study was the employees of Pharmaceutical industry in Karachi Pakistan. The responses of each respondent were thoroughly analyzed by using SPSS software, and the results show that there is a negative relationship between the Human Capital Management (Gaining Knowledge, Current Trend of Business Environment, Organization Managing Their Human Asset and Practices and Policies Regarding Human Resource) and HR Outsourcing. Conclusions: It is concluded that all Independent Variables have the strongest Positive correlation with each other.     This work had been intended to set and determine the geometrical parameters for a referenced cricket bat handle for our purpose, due to geometric variations found in the handles. By reviewing related literature based on past research work carried by many researcher on cricket bat. The criterion used for selecting and determining major parameters of the handle with some new technical parameters with reference to more traditional design based on to other performance-oriented geometrical features widely employed in commercial designs of cricket bat made by the different manufacturers’ of sporting equipment in present. And so far, some new and typical geometrical parameters are considered and established for a referenced Cricket bat handle, which in turn used in a cricket bat with having a detachable handle for further study.  Article visualizations

    An Improved Deep Convolutional Neural Network-Based Autonomous Road Inspection Scheme Using Unmanned Aerial Vehicles

    Advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) gives a great opportunity to develop an autonomous devices. The contribution of this work is an improved convolutional neural network (CNN) model and its implementation for the detection of road cracks, potholes, and yellow lane in the road. The purpose of yellow lane detection and tracking is to realize autonomous navigation of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) by following yellow lane while detecting and reporting the road cracks and potholes to the server through WIFI or 5G medium. The fabrication of own data set is a hectic and time-consuming task. The data set is created, labeled and trained using default and an improved model. The performance of both these models is benchmarked with respect to accuracy, mean average precision (mAP) and detection time. In the testing phase, it was observed that the performance of the improved model is better in respect of accuracy and mAP. The improved model is implemented in UAV using the robot operating system for the autonomous detection of potholes and cracks in roads via UAV front camera vision in real-time.Comment: 10 pages, 11 figures, journa

    CONSTRAINING NUMERICAL VALUES FOR A REFERENCED CRICKET BAT HANDLE ON SELECTED GEOMETRICAL PARAMETERS

    A survey was carried out on Grade ‘A’ cricket bats handles, made up of the finest quality of four pieces Singapore cane with 3 rubber springs. Standard cricket bats handles were chosen from four different cricket manufacturing agencies, due to having different geometrical parameters. All handle were meticulously taken off from the blade and then they were measured and recorded, aiming to constraining a new measurement for a referenced cricket bat handle of short length. The estimation was made on the behalf of the measurement (value) taken from different size of handle ranging from their minimum to maximum, and standard values of handle keeping in view on their distinct parameters separately. So, by this way determination of geometric parameters and new modification were made for constraining measurement for a referenced cricket bat handle (i.e. short in length and round in shape) found for our purpose.  Article visualizations
